This fuel pump won't work?

I bought the correct fuel level sender to convert a 3rd gen over to the 4th gen tank but this pump assembly does not allow that AC Delco sender to attach. This pump is AC Delco MU1730. I'm confused

I dont believe it will. When I did mine the "best brands" were that style and wouldn't work imo so I bought the cheaper brand that was setup for the proper style resistor chip.

Re: This fuel pump won't work?

I found that not all aftermarket parts use a factory style design. They're compatible if you're just replacing a factory unit as an assembly, but once you start trying to take them apart and swap parts from various brands it gets dicey as to what will work together.

Anyone know if this pump assembly will work with the 0-90 sender?

yes you will be able to make it work with that pump assembly... you might need to do some slight modifications, you can look at various posts by myself and others on this, but you will be able to make it work

GM updated the design and many of the parts makers followed suit. Unfortunately the best bet is to buy a used OEM one and put a new pump in it so you can put the 0-90 sender in it
