My 87 Iroc
My 87 Iroc
I just got back from TX with my 87 Iroc. I sold this car in 2001 to a friend. he has had it in his garage pretty much since he bought it. Now that it's almost done he decided he wanted something else so I bought it back. Anyway here are some pics.

I had to have wheels because it didn't come with any but he was running 4 gen firebird wheels. He gave me the spacers that he was using. These are growing on me but I would rather have some stock Iroc wheels or something off a C5.
Here is the drivers side.

Re: My 87 Iroc
Have not really messed with this thing to much but I did get the windows tinted, so I took some pics at work yesterday.

I also got some Iroc wheels that I'm going to polish. Got one them stripped down and most of the rough stuff smoothed out. Man it's a lot of work but they are going to look good when they are done.

I like the white buckets. I also got another set of Iroc wheels these were in better shape and I just cleaned them and gave them a quick paint job.

As you can see I also went to the track. That was a disappointment. Now I have to find out why it's so slow, I think it needs injectors.

Re: My 87 Iroc
It ran 14.72 @ 92.34. That is what it went when I first got the car in 1996. It was bone stock then. When I sold the car it ran 14.1x's all the time. Since then the car has had a valve job, got headers and a y pipe, and also a converter. So it should be faster than a 14.7 for sure.

Re: My 87 Iroc
Pretty clean IROC. Instead of painting the headlight pockets, you could also, if you want, throw on some smoked covers. Will balance out with the hood louvers.

Painting the headlight buckets black makes them look a 1000x better. They look more "tougher" looking with them painted.
