1988 Camaro SC
Hello everyone,
My name is Jonas, 19 years old and I'm from Belgium. Yeah all the way back in Europe.
Ok, I came across this site and found heaps of useful information and pictures on how to take care of your camaro! Thanks for that, will check here often if I need something!
I don't know if this is the introduction section but well. I wanted to show that there are some 3gen camaro lovers in Belgium too!
Got my sweety about 8 months ago. She used to be a real show car.
I got this picture from one of the previous owners who made her look to his taste. She was equipped with neon inside and outside too. (no pictures of that yet since I removed the neonlamps for the winter)
Unfortunate she lost some of her charms while changing owners. Stickers were removed because one owner thought they weren't 'cool'. Sound installation and dvd player didn't work anymore, got some scratches in the paint, salt marks on wheels etc etc. Here's a picture where I found her. She didn't move for 6 months on that spot until I saw her, connected her to a quick starter and turned the key. Started at first try so me and my dad were like.. "Okay we'll buy her". ^^ She was kind of cheap too.
This is how she is now.
(don't mind the stick :$)
Picture of my first American Car meeting. ^^
Well that's about it I think. I will post some pictures of the work I did to 'revive' her soon.
I'm sure I will learn a lot here, so thanks in advance!
Greets,
Jonas

Re: 1988 Camaro SC
car looks great. The firebird wing looks kind of missplaced on a camaro, the iroc tall wing would look great on your car but this is just my opinion. Nonetheless great looking car.

Re: 1988 Camaro SC
And yes it's from a pontiac firebird.
In the beginning I thought it was weird too, but I don't think it's ugly. I like it now.
Will be posting more pics soon.

Yeah I saw that it was off a firebird, I meant what year/models? I have a firebird in my driveway and its wing isn't like that lol

Re: 1988 Camaro SC
The trailer hitch is the first thing I took of. Damn ugly it was! Camaro s don't have to pull trailers around. I've been told that one of the previous owners had made a small trailer from the back of a 3rd gen camaro. He would put his camping stuff in there whenever he went on vacation/american car meetings. I don't have pictures of the trailer though. Could have been something unique.
@ Awesome-X: Sorry it's from a '92 Firebird. And I saw I didn't reply to your question on the price either. I payed it 1500 euro (about 2000 us dollars). Usually they go around 2000-4000 euros depending on the shape of the car. So I got it quite cheap looking at the shape I found her in.
