Re: RIP 83

well i let my friend drive, which probably made no difference we were going like 15 in the parking lot after my game, smoke started to come out of the vents,so i told him to pull over,we saw a tiny little fire under the distributor or something close to the dash but inside the engine bay,we didnt have any water, but we filled out a tiny cooler and a water bottle from a pond, tried putting it out, didnt work so we called the fire department,by the time they got there the car was toast, well atleast car shopping is kinda fun, what kind of camaro u think i can get for around 2k

Carry a fire extinguisher next time! If that would of happen to me, better believe I would of pissed on it to put it out!

For around 2k, around here not that good. Mostly just some good projects. Hell 1500-2000 would be net a decent body without anything good extra. People do get lucky sometimes, save up and continue to look. Don't be afraid to look in neighbor states craigslist for deals, If I was you I wouldn't hesitate to travel to find a good one.

Re: RIP 83

Pics of that Camaro made me sad Hope he lived a good life.

Good luck on your hunt man. One thing I've noticed over the last few years is that the value/price of thirdgens are going up...As someone else mentioned, don't buy a thirdgen for $2000 unless you want a major project

hey really sorry to see that i think if one of my camaros burned i would probably cry like a little girl and lock myself in my room for a month...
but that bein said if your close to minnesota you should check out the st paul minneapolis craigslist i was goin through adds earlier (always lookin to add to the collection) and i found 3 or 4 decent iroc z's and z/28's for under 2 grand and a few mint ones for around 3 to 4 grand it just might be worth looking into
