Took these last weekend, had to get her all cleaned up for the new owner, cars heading for amarillo texas this coming saturday. Wanted to get it next to my new truck since they look so good together. I "plateau'd" with the car and got bored, hoping a few years of not messing with it would get me back in the game, it just didnt happen after alot of thinking and logging 700 miles over 3 years i decided it was time to move on. I didnt even plate the car this year and it didnt bother me, needed garage space as well for my 55 chevy truck project. Ebay winner backed out and closed his account but i was contacted by a gentleman in texas about a trade for his hayabusa(which is what i was looking to get anyway) and we worked out a deal.

Been one hell of a ride these last 6.5 years
But i've always told myself when its not fun anymore its time to do something else, i'm a fabricator the building is whats fun for me

 

Sick!!! What size wheels? How much lowered? And how big of a hood?

 

I want a set of Boze wheels so bad for my GTA. They make thirdgens look SOO slick! Thats a badass maro!

Yeah man I am sure you did! I wast looking at the Boze Boost and I think they would look ****. I being a senior in HS have enough paying for my car let alone a 4K set of wheels...

Appreciate it bud, I've been trying so hard to decide between the Sunoco hood and a 4" and I made my decision

 

Mine was pretty much bolt on, i got it back when they first produced em, had a little finish trimming work to do but nothing major

Ended up trading for a 06 hayabusa, guys got a ton of money tied into the 10" stretch, aluminum wheels, 240 rear tire, both tires are brand new, custom paint tons of chrome, he is having a second set of plastics prepped and ready to go so i can paint it something else, plus some small stuff, bike has 5400 miles and is spotless.

These things just arent bringing money, if you add it all up i'm loosing my *** but no ones paying over 7k for these things, cars been for sale locally for the better part of 3 years and i was to the point i was just done, we setup a deal and are both happy with it and at the end of the day i will ride the crap outta another bike and still have room for other projects

 

Only if I were closer I would have gotten a loan and bought your car since I bet you had over $15k in just investing into your car

whoever the new owner is one lucky son of a gun, he got one hell of a nice camaro. that thing looks sick!

 

Not bad at all man real reliable bikes. I have always been a suzuki guy but the deal i got on the honda i couldnt pass up, thats a 95 900RR its by no means a newer fuel injected bike but its got some work and hangs with my brothers 1000RR all day long

Yep one of the few really nice Camaro's on here...sad to see it go but everything happens for a reason!

 

I know you've had the car for sale for a while.. congrats on finally selling it.. but its too bad to see you and the car go from this site. Perhaps another third gen will bring you back again one day.

Thanks guys it was actually alot easier than i thought it would be, the bike is sick i'm in love with it lol and will get alot more use out of it than i did with the car, new owners a real cool dude and was amazed with the car, said he was gonna have to leave it as is cause its perfect, he is looking into doing a pretty radical big block in her He said he'd keep in touch and send pics when he does stuff, told him a few magazine editors want to take some pics of it. It was a bit rough seeing it leave. I dont see myself leaving here, i'm still apart of the community whether or not i have the car or not.

And to everyone who has put advice/tech help and suggestions in on this car over the years i thank you. I see alot of new names i havent seen before but a good portion of this car was built with advice, negative and positive comments etc and really helped me shape it into what i wanted it to be. These are the last pics i will take of the car.

Awww man, hated to see this when I logged on this morning!!!! I've often thought about the reality that while I'm comfortable financially, I'm not rich, and I don't think I could ever afford more than one or two projects at the most. Does that mean I'll NEVER get to build an old school chevy musclecar? ...or get a c5/c6 vette? ...or an old jeep? Unless of course I sell my Iroc? ...not close to doing that yet, but I can understand.

And thats what sucks, the car wasnt costing me much 23 a month to keep comp ins. on it but it was the space that suffered. Having the sled and the bike take up space and to have 2 cars basically not running in the garage wasnt an option.
The 55 chevy will be bad though, gonna be the answer to my 02 ram being stolen and just be a stupid radical diesel hotrod.

 

Congrats on being happy and being one of the few that realize that these cars are still basically worthless. lol

Put whatever you want into one and be happy, but don't ever expect to recover all your costs cause it just ain't gonna happen.
