havent posted in a long time, wrecked my 85 about a year and a half ago. was my first car and worked on it for 4+ plus years. a man ran a stop and i t-boned him.

i bought a 94 Z with the insurance money as well as buying my car back. my original plan was to fix to it using a junk car so i bought an 87 with no motor or trans for $300. came to realize that no matter how well i fixed it, it was never going to feel like it used to so i decided to swap interior, motor, and trans into this junk 87 and start over.

got a long ways to go but wanted to share what ive been doing since.

sorry about your 85 but it looks like you are carrying on alot from it to the new car. good job man i look forward to seeing the progress!

 

appreciate it. doing a lot of little things with this new one i didnt get to do with the other so that part is kind of nice.

700r4. nice to have use of overdrive sometimes, especially with 4:10

Your 85 was a huge inspiration to me. I'm glad to see no gfx. You keeping it that way?

 

Hated ripping apart that 85 even after being totaled. Loved that car.

No gfx for this car. Its rare to see a nice one without them and it not be a drag car. Appreciate the comments and im glad one of my cars could be an inspiration for another. More to come

What are you running for exhaust? Is that the Sunoco hood?

 

yeah it's the sunoco hood. runnin a thrush muffler. had a flowmaster 80 series last go around and it just didnt do it for me. thrush has a unique sound, sometimes i like it and sometimes its just too quiet. can really hear the four barrell open up with this muffler haha.

on my 94 ive got the flowmaster catback and it sounds sexy. ill be putting the same on this one after i get my moneys worth out of this muffler
