just picked this up
89 iroc l98 converted to carb

body is just about perfect with one small ding in the ds rear quater panel can be fixed wth a body hammer and dolly
the interior needs work but i already have that covered as i got an 87 firebird with the camaro, all black interior that is perfect except for a tear in the ds seat that i will fix, but that interior is going into the camaro

plans are to convert it back to tpi and get the car painted either 2 tone black and deep metalic blue or deep metalic blue with silver flames

btw the 80's era fake knockoff spinners will be removed from the rims and regular center caps installed,ill be lookig for a set of good iroc rims to replace the rims on the car now

and i also have a spotless rear bumper and the correct 3 piece rear spoiler for the car

Nice find. I like the wheels. Removal of the knockoffs and that car wont be bad at all. What did you give for it?

 

i got the cars for a steal and a half the guy told me he would tow both cars down to me with his car hauler, so when he said this i was thinking he had like a 5th wheel car carrier.

he was asking 1500 for the iroc and the firebird together

so i offered him 1500 for both + the extra parts and the tow he happily agreed
then i found out he has to make 2 tow trips 600 miles roundtrip each so basically i paid like nexto nothing for the cars and most of the money is for the tows

i kinda feel bad that he is making 2 trips but hes happy with the 1500 bucks so

this is the firebird i got with the deal and the front rear bumper
the front bumper i pretty much have sold since its the wrong one for the 89


and the interior im putting int he iroc




ill prolly have a patch sewn into that ds seat or try to find a maching good ds seat

car runs and drives just fine though the carb swap is a real hack job before i start driving it im deffinatly going to fix the issues with the carb swap for now.
then convert it back to tpi later on

the firebird may have a blown engine he bought it partially apart for ther interior and knows nothing aout the 305 in the bird,but requardless the 305 is comming out and a turbocharged v6 is going in the bird

 

how bad is the interior on the camaro? looks like 4th gen seats from what i can see... im not a fan of firebird parts being used on a camaro... just a thing of mine lol... sumthin only a 3rd gen fan would notice tho

 

the iroc's interior is really faded and the ds is missin some of the foam were its torn
