heres my Project i've been working on for 5 months!
My Big brother had one of these and i always wanted one! 5 months ago i looked and looked and seen a Craigslist ad and it has only $700 i talked to the guy and it was really far in Hanover,IL (NOT Hanover Park) since my dad has a shop in Woodstock,IL so we know a tow truck driver who is also a repo guy who went the 4 hour round trip and brought it back. i was so anxious to see what i bought! i went to work the next day and there it was! sitting behind the shop . in 5 months a lot has gotten done to it but here are the pictures of the way it was when i first seen it. let me know what you think and ill post new ones. Thanks
They lost Keys and ruined the tumblers and ignition (before you say anything this was 5 months ago when i got the car) i hot wired it with a resister and then i got a GM door key from somebody we know at the dealership and got a new ignition with a Key from a aftermarket place.(don't have a ignition wire anymore, just resister) They ran 12 Gauge Amp Wire and part of a old brown extension cord from inside the car around the pillar to down under the hood and hooked it to the headlights, fan and battery. they painted the original Teal color over the factory paint and then a coat of silver spray paint then grey primer all over each other and they used the stripe in the back to cover a rust spot by the spoiler and they painted the bow tie over a bunch of little nics. stupid people. remember these pics are from 5 months ago

Check this out they used cheap foam, tape and S.O.S Pad boxes. the boxes said 1999
under the Bow-Tie was a bunch of little nics and dents. under the stripe at the end of the spoiler was a rust spot.

What color should i do? The original Teal? Or Dark Grey Metallic? this engine is coming out soon because it has 150,604 miles on it and a blown head gasket and a leak somewhere. My Dad knows a guy who owns a Pizza place close to our shop in Woodstock,IL. He's giving us a free 5.0L with 86,000 miles(possibly a TPI and there may be a Trans) out of his dads 88 or 89 Camaro that his sons rebuilding. Somebody backed into it or it got wrecked or somthing so there putting a 350 in it.

Re: heres my Project i've been working on for 5 months!
since my deck lid had so many little nics and dents on top hidden under the bow tie and it was rusted out on the bottom, i remembered my Cosuin was getting hatch back glass off his buddys 89 RS before he scrapped it. he used the glass on his Notch-back Fiero and he gave me the deck lid.

Looks pretty good for $700. Lose the the Joe Dirt wheels when you finish the rest though. Lol.

Pretty good progress in 5 months. I'm such a "snail" in comparison. Looking forward to seeing more.

Re: heres my Project i've been working on for 5 months!
This project has completely changed. I have stripped down most of the car and am still getting the free 305 H.O and trans with 80,000 miles (out of 86 iroc convertible) but I'm taking the trans and getting a 350 and building it up as much as possible.

Re: heres my Project i've been working on for 5 months!
UPDATE Somebody is giving me a $2,500 350 GM 290HP Create motor. Only like 200 miles(if that) that was used in a stock car for maybe 10 races on the track. They bought it from us new and now the business is closing and he's cleaning out the building next door to our shop so we get the motor and a few car hoists. The other 80,000 mile 305 H.O motor and trans I'm still getting an plan on using the trans with the 350. GM dealer we work woth will probably replace my gas tank and seat belts when the cars done. Got some new alpine audio stuff for free. New wheels and rear end gears on the way!. That's what I've been up to. Expect to see more pics soon.
