Re: Decided to see how it look nothing permanent

I like the tail lights, though I'm not digging the mirrors or the spoiler. Especially if it's that fake carbon fiber stuff. To me, it looks cheesy if it's not real. Though, I think it would probably look decent of you only did it the the rear portion of the spoiler and left the top/front painted.

Yea I know I was bored wanted to see how it looks been wanting to get get some real carbon fiber fabric but little gremlins keep coming up keeping me from buying some but look like I work out the ignition kinks

I got it for free and it's removable so no loss to me

I was thinking just the rear part of the spoiler also I'm thinking that would prob look better like I said its not permanent lol just experimenting a bit

As I'm kinda not liking the look either my wife hates it also to lol
I'm not a big fan of tinted taillights I think I did mines to dark I like a lighter smoke look but we will see

I think everything would look better with either gloss black paint or gloss wrap.

Re: Decided to see how it look nothing permanent

i originally wanted to get a carbon fiber molded to the back part of the spoiler with about 1/4 in sticking up past the wing wicker or lip or how ever you call it to give a little added downforce and kep top and sides white

Re: Decided to see how it look nothing permanent

yea they do.. i was just online looking for some just now lol.... im going to order them this week.... i was going to order them before but replacing other parts got in the way.... i was going that route anyways it cleans up the rear... then what im doing i think on a darker.... what i did would look better.... especially like a charcol grey of some sort.... but on white it just sticks out to much for my taste lol i was just experimenting and playing around and curious

hows your diesal build doing by the ways should put out good numbers mpg and power i wanted to do that awhile back when i was reading about a diesal swap mustang but being in navy and having no garage kinda tough doing anyhthing lol.. but ive been think about a ultima kit car and a diesal engine would performe think it ways under 2500 dont qoute me should be interesting

its going im at the point where im on the fence I do alot of LS swaps I have about 4 in my garage right now and I could build a 500 plus motor with just parts ive got laying around but as for the swap so far ive fitted the motor and started the mounts but ive got two wait three other cars I need to finish first (87 monte carlo LS6 swap, 99 firebird V6 auto to a LS6 6 Speed, and a 1936 dodge rat rod to trade for a 35 ft gooseneck race trailer)

Thanks for your service I am in the Airforce stationed at Cannon AFB NM But I made sure to buy and get a house with a LARGE garage.

wow thats crazy... yea we have to choose new orders every 2-3 years we can stay on the same coast for your whole career its possible... but it would be different command every 2-3 years at the different bases so for one duty station you can be 20 mins away from home... then next duty station you can be hour to 2 hours.... away so some familys sale there homes to be closer to work or rent there house out and rent a house or apt

me and the wife trying to go overseas japan or bahrain lol i was in okinawa japan for 2 years for first duty station kadena air force base had the best resturants and everything was open 24 hours air force really takes care of you guys tho

if stayed at one place for entire career i would buy house too lol

Re: Decided to see how it look nothing permanent

always have to remember 50 % of the rentals around a base are military owned I dont plan on staying in Clovis NM its an awful town but there will always be a need for rentals and the closest place to live aside from 15 min from the base is over 2 hours away

I will say we do get treated well back in 03 I was in iraq and we were rolling around in brand new suburbans with leather and heated seats lol

i dont want to paint because it would probably look even more tacky it more ghetto IMO .... if i painted anything it would be louvers and headlight buckets but and be stock color black... when i repaint car..plastidip is neat idea but not a big fan of that also but i think its cool of you wanted a quick fix

like i said before that it would look alot better on a darker car IMO

looking for a Clean&Mean looking car

Plati Dips comes out looking good and can be removed if you don't like it. I have used it and I love it for the most part.
