I recently found this 1990 Camaro RS posted nearby and I'm relatively new to Camaros and cars in general and was looking for some input. Thanks for the help in advance, its greatly appreciated from a newbie like me!
"Car does need a little work but runs and drives. When I bought the car the previous owner put a brand new 350 block in it. Hasn’t been driven really at all in the past 6 years. The only major problem is that it burns oil. The valve seals need to be redone. Other than that it does need a good cleaning and stuff replaced and fixed. It’s not perfect. I don’t have the time to work on it anymore. Great little project car. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Not looking for trades thank you."
Input like what? Seller is a sloppy know-nothing that wants to dump a problem car. I wouldn't believe their diagnosis, or anything they say about the car. It looks tired, repainted, obvious moisture issues from sitting outside. Looks pretty straight though, if there's minimal rust it could be a good foundation for the right price.

I agree with this - body looks straight, if I was looking for an LS swap shell this would fit the bill, but as one to try to fix up and daily drive with the current powertrain, I would probably pass unless it was dirt cheap (and had my current knowledge of thirdgens and tools, back when I was younger and dumber I wouldn't have been able to fix it myself)
The ad makes no sense, you drop in a “new” 350 yet the valve seals are done?
That sure looks like the original 305 in there and that engine bay looks untouched for something that had a 350 swap IMO. Also, I would be looking at those floors as previous ppl mentioned the damp rid is a sign of trouble and I would assume the T tops leak.
On the plus side the car looks pretty straight and rust free in pics, for the right price could be a good builder for engine swap.
I would be very careful, anybody that puts those floor mats in their car obviously has some type of neurological ailment. If you do buy this make sure the first thing you do is pull those out and shred them. Otherwise make sure to look underneath for rust and if that is good then its a good platform. The paint may be original, the stripes are not. Ive seen worse depending on the rust situation. Did you find out how much the asking price is?
Does the cigarette smoking Yeti that rides in the back seat come with it, cause that could be cool? Pauly, those floor mats are known to produce 3-5 extra horsepower. I would check the PS floorboard too (like pull up the carpet and look), with those towels it makes me wonder if the heater core dumped and now he has fog problems on the windshield. Definitely a project, definitely not the worse, just depends on what you consider acceptable and what your capabilities and funds are, cause yer gonna need alot of both.
