Re: My 91 Firebird

I actually traded that roughed up 85 z28 in the background for it. The z28 was a dependable car with nice body in all primer but interior was shot and ttop's leaked back with a cracked windshield. The bird had a bad trans engine was knocking and exhaust was a cobled up mess plus had junk tires. I had already built an engine to drop in the camaro, picked up a good 700r4 for $100, built new exhaust for it and picked up those wheels and tires new for dirt cheap. I think I made out alright on it. 2 weeks later it went from a barely running car to a good dependable driver with sealed ttops nice interior and nice exterior. I am one happy camper.

What's that in the radio? An aux jack? I had an early '91 , same radio and mine never had that.

Re: My 91 Firebird

The mod is well worth it, I hid my input on the same panel as the switches for the hatch and defrost, in my case I put it next to the ash tray light that is there on the 85-90 models. ( not sure about 91-92)

Re: My 91 Firebird

I thought about moving it outside of the radio but figured if I needed bluetooth later in the future I could remove it without having a extra hole floating around somewhere.

Re: My 91 Firebird

To be honest like straight up **** best was a 15.9 @ 93mph was acting like it was running out of gas major bog off the line then bog again at 1 - 2 shift. I plan to recurve the timing to get it in right then goto the carb its a little edelbrock 1405 600cfm carb. fuel pressure is solid. I did drop the tank and found that PO pulled the electric pump out without extending the pickup so that is now extended im sure that may have contributed to my bog big time. Dropping the tank on these is no joke plus to top it off I was wondering why PO cut the steel fuel lines and reconnected with rubber hose needless to say i looked up and found out why. I am one to do things the right way and sucks to find someone has already hacked at the sheet metal at least they didnt cut the carpet and looks like they prepped and primed the cuts good then riveted in new metal but really wish id had the time to weld that back up but show was coming and wanted a plaque for the bird. I did find all new suspension while i was under there.
