yeah, I wish I coulda had my car out there, you woulda loved it. Oh well next time. Hey we need to figure out where to meet for the meetings. I would say Puru/LeSalle would be good 1/2 way. Anyone know any good meeting places there? Thanks again mark, the meeting gets my of approval.

I had a great time yesterday. Sorry we had to leave early. We had another committment we had to make. Looks like I missed some people that can after we left. Let's set a date soon for the next gathering so that everyone can make plans to be there. August 25th should work for me. Then maybe we can plan a fall gathering September before the weather get's cold.

It looks like the LaSalle/Peru area seems to work for most of us. Interstate access, pretty centrally located and awesome scenery.

Vic, are you volunteering to organize the next gathering?????

Yeah, do you guys want to schedule a meeting again like at the end of July sometime. I would also like to have a thirdgen meeting at a 1/4 mile track (cordova...joliet) Just an idea...

 

I am looking forward to the next meeting so we need to start planning!!!Maybe this way if we plan it really early then more people will have time to clear their schedules to make it!!! It would be nice to meet up like 1 time a month if that is at all possible. With the weather getting nice it would be cool to have more people to hang out with and cruise or whatever ya know!

OH Yeah Allen what can I say.....no I didn't mind the show at all --hehe-- there is nothing better then hot guys and their hot cars (oh except when they decide to get naked--j/k)
As for trading you cars--yeah i did say that--i really liked your car but if we traded Nick said that he would break my legs!So i guess you are just gonna have to take me for a ride some time!!

You are all welcome to come to Detroit on August 17th for the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Our local car club www.motownmuscle.com is going to have a lot reserved, but i'm not sure if theres going to be extra spots or not. I know each spot will cost @ $50-$75.

Let me know. It'd be nice to storm Woodward with a hundred or more 3rd gens

as far as the 25th goes the show usually starts about 8-9 am and gets done around 4. we could dis purs then, or I could make reservations at the Long Branch Saloon. thats where I ways go (the night before) with the rest of the helpers from the tractor show the on the day before

cvypde: looks like I won't be judging this year cause they hired professionals. I still don't know how we didn't bump into each other, I must have looked at your car 30 times

 

hey all it was fun to bad i had to leave so early .
was the burnout good enough for all of you? i figured i should take it easy with all the cars and people around.

I shoulda taken more shots, and I seem to be missing some which bugs me. Oh well, we all had a good time. The pic at the top of the page is still a red X but all it was was a little map from mapquest showing the area, just a looks thing. Maybe I'll get it fixed here tonight, or just eliminate it.

I liked Camrs89's idea about meeting at a track.That would be sweet.If we get enough people we could rent out one of the tracks for the day.--- I always wanted to do that!!!! I don't know of any tracks out in IL. except RT66. Are there any others that are close enough for everyone to drive 2 ???? I will pretty much drive anywhere so I am not to concerned about the distance.

Joliet or Cordova is fine for me. Joliet would probably work out best for the NE Illinois group.

it's always a good time and just like mike said it would be great to have alot of you come down and cruise woodward with us...... for any of you that don't know it's the largest cruise of the year in all of the country and is always a great time.

it starts early into the week and ends with a huge final cruise day!! people come from all over the world and it would be great to have alot of you show up.....100+ 3rdgens in a single area would surely gather news and magazine coverage.

 

I was thinking about doing that in my LeMans with the GTO club. They go to Woodward each year. My cars in primer but I'm sure i'm not the only "project" out there.
