if it would be possible what you should get is a cd player that mounts in the hatch area. and if you could just get an old delco radio and put that in the dash so it is visible, if they see that they would more than likely walk on. I still need to do that myself.

Damn dude that sux! I had my old RS broken into right in front of my house. I had an amp in my pass. seat, Brand new radio deck in the rear seat. RF 12" punch sub in plain view behind the rear seat. And my CD deck w/ face plate still on installed plus a CD holder on my visor. All those dumbasses took were my CD's. So I had to pay for a new window for my drivers side, and be late for work to get a police report. I'm with u matt about findin the person, cause if i do I gettin my stuff back then he'll be dead...Oh and I have found that blinking red lights w/ warning stickers on my car work real good!

Well my buddy 89Redbird is givin me his stock deck, so I'll use that for a while. I was thinkin when I get a new cd player I'll disassmble the stock deck and use it as a cover for the new deck.
You think that may work? I'd have to mount the new deck a little deep into the pod though. I think it may work.

On my bird the radio pod face pulls off with the radio still in the pod. If some how you can superglue some razor blades on the top of the headunit (make sure you dont cut wires or yourself) the thief in a hurry yanks your pod out and slices open his hand at the same time, then the thief may learn his lesson (get some seat covers)

That would be cool if it would be legal. Its pretty bad when the criminals still have rights and we don't have rights to do that kind of stuff to our cars to protect our stuff. I wouldn't try it since everybody and there mom seems to be lawsute happy.

Its the damn lawyers out there that persue the cases. Someone needs to crack down on the bar association.

Here is a sure fire way to deter theft:

Go to www.x10.com and order a video camera. They make them in 12v. battery powered with a motion sensor and everything for under $100. Mount it in your car and have the receiver in the house hooked up to the vcr. You will definitely make sure u know who it is.
