Is Nitrous illegal in MI??
That says it...
It is legal in Michigan as long as the bottle is out of the reach of the driver. If it is in the trunk with a remote bottle opener then it is fine, or if it's in the trunk it should be ok because nobody can drive a car and reach in the trunk anyways . . . Lol!

Just dont get pulled over with the system armed and you should be fine. Even if it is armed I doubt the cop would notice.

yes...only at the track. if insurance finds out you have nitrous or your running nitrous at any time your policy will be dropped also.

It's legal to have and you can drive around with it armed I believe, this came from a MI state trooper. It is illegal to use it on the street though, of course he also said "how could you tell if they were using it?" so as far as the law, I wouldn't worry. Your insurance company might have a problem paying out on a wreck if they see that bottle though ;-)

don't give people false info. it is not legal, you cannot ride around with it hooked up. if the line is connected to the bottle it doesn't matter if you are armed or not you will be ticketed. if you are in an accident and the bottle is found you are at fault no matter what happened. don't chance it, it's illegal on the street.

I just moved to OH, so this did all happen in MI....
I got pulled over with nitrous in my S-10 a few times, They told me it is legal as long as it isnt hooked up, and not over 40lbs.
So I bought a 2ft braided line to fake em out with. My bottle was between my bucket seats in my S-10. The real line went straight down and underneath the carpet.
I set the 2ft line under the bottle, and when I got pulled over(typically for loud exhaust) they would always ask me "Is that hooked up?" I would grab the fake line and pull it up and say "Nope" and never had any problems..
Just my experiences
I even got pulled over with 3 people in the S-10. I was driving, my best friend in the passenger seat and my GF(at the time) sittin on the Nitrous bottle(nicest bottle warrmer ive seen!) I dont think he noticed, he didnt give a "no seatbelt" ticket to her
