Pick and Pull Salvage yards in North IL?

Anybody know of any yards where I can pick my own parts. Or 3rd gens being parted in my area. I need a variety of little pieces, maybe even a 4th gen rear w/ 3:42 is the price is right.
Northern IL around chitown.

Where have the 1.3 mil or so 3rd gens made gone? I sure don't see as many as I used to.

Try Victory Autowreckers 1710 E. Green in Bensenville. Make sure you grab a few parts because the minimum purchase is 10 bucks. Let me know what kind of parts you are looking for because I recently parted out an 86 T/A. Maybe I could help you out...

I have an number of ideas for mixing parts from other makes and models and will get even more if I can wander around the yard and pick and choose what I want
Do they supervise you as you wander the yard? How does it work? Are they friendly and or helpful, your experiences?

I'm in Buffalo Grove now and again. Is whats left of the 86 t/a there still?

edit: just read about the may gathering in Crete. Are you going?

I still have alot of interior stuff in grey, and some body panels. I sold the engine and tranny. As far as the Crete get together, I might be going.

too bad you wouldnt be willing to make a drive to granite city theres a yard there called SPEEDWAY SALVAGE.. they have a very good selection of third gen cars there . me and my brother were there last week to get a powersteering pump for his car and we counted atleast 20 thirdgens .....there prices are awsome and but they arent very helpfull when it comes to questions about anything..lol....it costs a dollar to get in and then you just walk around and find what you want . they have about every stock part you could ever want for a third gen there ...of course it would be about a 4 hour drive from chicago easy ....

I'm about 40 minutes south of Chicago and have one of the world's largest collections of used thirdgen parts. I also host Thirdgen Fest every year. Let me know what you're looking for and I'm sure I can help you. I've got TONS of parts in stock with new cars coming in all the time.

Well, I'm in the market for a rear end that will hold up to 400 HP and 490 TQ with a manual gearbox.

I'm thinking of just dropping the $$ and get a Currie or Moser 9" or 12 bolt - unless you have a rear that you think will hold up, then I'm interested. - Thanks!

My hail ravaged RS isn't in the best of health right now, but I would like to make it. An hour of or two drive isn't so bad.
Maybe I'll hitch up with the wisc. crew for the drive. I could sure use a B4C too.
Still looking for misc little things to keep her runnin till the wheels fall off.
