91 Camaro may return

I may have a chance at my old 'Maro back. If I do this is the planned motor work/Tranny Combo. Let me know what 'ya think.

Block--6.0L Iron LS1

Heads--MTI Stage III+ (gotta flow ALOT)

Cam--Custom Comp Grind

Pistons--Forged

Rods--Forged H-Beam

Crank--Forged Offest Ground for the ever so slight Stroker

Dry Sump Oiling

Custom Headers feeding two (2), yes two, 105mm Turbos...most likely turbonetics.

Comp Cams LSX intake with 90mm TB.

Tranny---TH-400 with a custom machined adaptor for the LS1...or a Richmond 6-Speed.

Rearend will be a Strange 12 Bolt geared according to the Tranny.

Oh, Slicks are going to measure 28x12x15.

I guess I gotta Mini-Tub it.

Motor will be controlld by the F.A.S.T. Engine Management Set-Up.

What do you guys think se'll run down the 1/4 and what HP #'s would you expect to see at the tires?? I'm not looking for your opinions on what I'm doing just want some reaction, and how you think this set-up will work. Oh, Car.

91 RS Camaro
Gonna be caged of course but still have a fully functioning interior, I know I'm crazy.

Chris

Speed costs money, how fast do you want to spend?

Sounds like you'll have an easy $30k in the setup. I'd buy a used 2500 Suburban and a trailer, use 5k to redo the body + couple sets of wheels & tires, and then use the remaining 5k on the drivetrain and live with 11s.

That's just me though...

yeah when i finally get everything going over here id like to take a stab at building a twin turbo smallblock using one of these kits here http://www.twistdisc.com/id14.html
i think it looks awsome and could produce some mean numbers if built correctly

the whole idea behind going to an LS based motor is reliability and wow factor. Plus that's what we work on at the shop. Unfortunately we get more 4th than 3rd gens but oh well. I think it'll be a fun car that I can drive on the street with a full interior and *possibly* A/C. Should be fun though.

i think the idea is awesome. the 6.0 liter is a good base and they rev really good too which is good for a turbo. you could always try to find an aluminum 6.0 liter block and save some weight and add to the wow factor . i didnt know that a 6.0 liter could be converted to dry sump is it very much work?

i figure if I'm in it that far I might as well do it since it can only help. I plan on removing the high beam Lights so all you see are two little fans where the lights used to be. I think all that on a 10.5" Slick should be good enough to scare even the fastest guys in the area
