yes i am... could probably get a deal on them if they are similar but i'm running a tubular k-member and i doubt you would want to send your car all the way out here to do so.

what kind of deal do you think they would give me if i changed to a tubular front end so they could be made the same? the only place around me that would even touch a custom set of headers wanted to charge me $1300, and that wasnt even coated, or painted for that matter.

well coated i originally paid 950 for the custom set that i'm now trying to sell but that's standard sbc flanges. if you knew exactly what you wanted i bet i could have the flanges changed on the 1 3/4" headers for maybe 100 tops and then they would work no problem so you would have a good set of headers that works with a tubular k and coated.

i can not say what we would save as i'll have to ask, unless you are in a hurry i'll do it this weekend. just remind me on monday about it. custom headers are very expensive indeed.

no im not in a big hurry for them.

if you could, ask them how hard it would be to fit the ls1 flanges to your headers. i already have a set of flanges sitting in the garage. the problem i found is that the engine sits a little farther back then the sbc, so i wonder if the back tubes would hit the fire wall?

hawks is supposed to have a production set in may, but we all know how that works, and we probably wont even see the headers till fall, so im willing to spend the money on a custom set so i have them this summer. since the car right now only has stock manifolds and turn downs lol.

thanks Jeff

problem is the ls1 that's going in the vert is using a tubular k-member as well. if they had a thirdgen with a stock front end they could easily build a set of shortie headers and mass produce them which would be fine but everyone on this side of town that has any type of serious work all have pa or anthony jones k-members.

reguardless i'll ask.

it would help if i didnt live in BFE also

basically if i have to switch to a pa x-member to fit some headers, i wont really mind lol.

if i can make it to autorama i will take half a day of work on friday and make it over there late afternoon. not sure if i will be able to.
i decided today to forfeit my postion at cavalcade of wheels, since i really dont think the car will be done. my heads and cam arent supposed to be delivered until 3 days before the show....
