IL just did away with the cheap yellow paper temporary license plate deal

they have regular plate sets at the DMV offices now

i just found out yesterday when i sold the s-10 to a buddy and went to the DMV real quick to transfer the title and register the truck he came back with a set of plates and sticker and all lol

i know they still had the yellow temp plates in april cuz thats when i bought the 77 k10 and i got a yellow temp plate then

Another Awesome cost cutting measure that our wonderful governor can take credit for!
Glad to see the ugly temps going bye bye, but they were better than the ones that stuck inside the window and left the adhesive streaks when taken off.
Isn't is bad enough that we only get new plates every 10-15 years and get ripped off for $78 to $91 or more yearly for a 5 cent sticker!

I've always gotten my plates on the spot. They're just the plain random plates though
