Plenty of time Darren! I hope you can make it this year. When you get time think about some prices for all of that stuff i wanted and let me know. The hood, the front spoiler, the steering wheel. Cant remember if there was anything else?

Thank you everyone who registered thus far! It's blustery cold out there this morning and the snow is blowing - great time to bump this thread and wishing for warmer weather!

My car is still in a million pieces, but shouldn't be any problem getting it back together in time. I'm sure that this years show will be great as always. Can't wait.

All of us west side guys need to organize a monthly meet up and cruise out to Woodward on Friday nights. I know that there are some downriver guys and some west siders from my area and from the Brighton area on here and mifbody. I think it would be pretty cool to all cruise out there together. Maybe to the M&G too.

It's really hard to believe we're only 47 days away from the show! COME ON MR WEATHER, WAKE UP AND GIVE US SOME WARM WEATHER!!!!

With only 47 days to go we're already at 174 registrations received!
If you haven't already, please be sure and pre-register for the event at the following link -- this will make your "check in" to the event much easier for all of us!

Hard to believe that it's only two weeks away from tomorrow!!! The time is closing in fast, and although we haven't had a ton of super nice days, this weekend's weather should boost everyone's spirits for the 2013 cruising season!
With only two weeks to go, we're well over the 200 registered mark. As always, if you intend on attending the show, please pre-register so that we have your information and windshield slip ready for you when you arrive. This helps our registration tent run smoothly and let's us know how many voting slips and what not to print off.

Re: 9th Annual Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2013!
it seems like it might rain on Saturday what will happen to the show? if it rains?
Re: 9th Annual Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2013!
As much as some folks don't like it, the show will go on -- rain or shine. Almost every year in the past we've had small downpours during the show. The key is to get to the show early so your car is parked while it's raining - that way your undercarriage stays clean and it's quick and easy to wipe the drops off the top half of the car.
Jokes aside, I won't be paying any attention to the weather forecast for Saturday until late Friday night and/or Saturday morning since there's plenty of time for it to change before then. But again - it will go on, rain or shine.

Re: 9th Annual Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2013!
You say rain or shine but news said thunderstorm all day changes lots things for ppl coming from 4 -5 hours away ...wish it was sunday
Re: 9th Annual Michigan FBody Meet & Greet 2013!
Hey guys --
I know the weather forecast today is a downer. There's a batch of rain coming through that is going to make most people's drive into the Meet & Greet wet and dirty. It sucks, I'm not denying that. But my car sat outside through the night during all the thunderstorms - it will be driven through the rain getting dirty - and it will be out in the open at the Meet & Greet all day today. And tomorrow I can simply wash the dirt off and it will be good as new. That's the great thing about our cars -- they're MEANT to be driven. They're MEANT to be enjoyed. And if a little bit of rain and washing your car is enough to turn you off from enjoying the ONLY all-FBody car show in Michigan, that's your loss. We have plenty of people who have committed to coming to the show - rain or shine - and we are NOT rescheduling. I know many of us have a "lot of time" invested in detailing our cars. Imagine all the time the event staff have invested in the show - the money we've invested on trophies, raffle prizes, advertising, etc. The weather forecast absolutely sucks to have ANY rain in it, but we're going to make the best of it today and we're going to rock it out - rain or shine.
That said -- as of 6:30am, like I said above there's a batch of rain coming through and then we're going to be free and clear from 9am until later in the afternoon. If the past week's weather is any indication, we won't have to worry about thunderstorms until after 2pm. That gives us a good amount of time to have a car show! And if a pop-up storm causes a torrential downpour for 15-20 minutes, we can all huddle around the bar at Bakers of Milford. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm extremely happy our event is at such a great establishment like Bakers of Milford instead of being in the middle of a metro park with only the little pavilion to get out of the rain. We have a whole restaurant and bar! So for that -- we're going to make the best of it, we're going to let our cars dirty, and we're going to suck it up and have a good time.
Regardless of turnout - I have 20 trophies ready to go today. Best of Generation (1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies), Best Camaro, Best Firebird, Best of Show, Douglas Warren Memorial Trophy, and Longest Hauler. These trophies are going home with someone TODAY - so if a bunch of people chicken out, your odds of winning increases. Secondly, we have a ton of raffle prizes and freebies to give out. If you're extremely worried about a little bit of water touching your paint then bring your DD and come hang out with us. Buy some raffle tickets, get some of the freebies, have lunch at Bakers, and see what our Meet & Greet is all about -- an informal car show to meet and mingle with fellow FBody enthusiasts.
