Greenlight has now announced that they are gearing up to cast the First 1:64 scale die cast collectable and the NKYFBA is going to have a custom car made and ready to order.

It will have our club logo in a window and packaging will be our own design in a clamshell box. Now for the best part. These will be one of the first runs of a new casting, the 1985-1989 Trans Am. The car will be Blue with silver ground effects similar to the car pictured below. Greenlight's clay model for the casting is also pictured below.

A VERY Limited number of the cars will be "Green Machines"...the chase version of a Greenlight. Certain characteristics of the car will be changed, such as having a "Emeraldish" Green paint job instead of the blue (keeping the silver ground effects), a green base to the car, green rims, or green tires.

EVERY Car will be individually numbered and there will be NO MORE than 1536 made. And no more than 153 will be Green Machines.

To ensure yourself one of the green machines, we will have a package deal set up where, for $70.00 plus shipping and insurance you will receive 9 regular blue Trans Ams, and 1 Green Machine Trans Am. The Green Machine will be a "matched" number car to one of the regular cars in your set. These sets will be limited to the first 100 sets, and when they're gone, they're gone.

The other option is to purchase a single blue Trans Am at $9.99 plus shipping and insurance and a few lucky folks will receive a Green Machine randomly in with their single order.

looks very cool i would love to have one, but when could i expect to get it?

 

As soon as we get enough to make the complete order, hopefully by the end of the year meaning shipment should be shortly after that.

As of right now we have met our 1st goal and are at the next stage of the process. We are getting our design kit and to get the production of the cars going. An update on the backing card and the actual look of the car will be posted soon!

The last time we talked to Green Light they have no desire to produce their own blue Formula/GTA/TA.
