Whew, that was a fast week -- anyway, back to work on those window decals, and website mainenance. I'll try to get prices posted to the site for the different large format sizes.

Well thanks everyone.
Beaches, yes.
Bars, yes.
Hot chicks, yes please.
Pics . . . no. Kinda' hard to take pics at night, in bars or at the beach. Just left the cam home (no incriminating evidence here)

Just letting all know the norcalthirdgen site will be down for scheduled maintenance the next day or two as I get the box rebuilt. Newer OS, database support, http server, memory and hard disk upgrades are all in effect.

Sweet, thanks for letting us know. Sucks I am going to be moving out of state, won't be a Nor-Cal thirdgen member anymore.

I also purchased a roll of that brushed metal vinyl I was showing off at the last drag meet. So I'll have enough of those to go around as well.
Prices are $20 for the windshield banner and $15 for the smaller one. Shipping will be tricky as I cannot simply put them in envelopes, and I hate to charge $10 or so to put them in a document tube to ship, so maybe it'll be a pick-up or handout during GTG's.
I doubt I'll be able to make it to Will's going away party, but if someone wanted to drop by my place and pick 'em up - that would work.

say hello
Well, new times require more new(er) transportation . . .
Just bought it Sat. morning, think she'll get along with the thirdgen ?
My hardest decision is which one to take to the track next

Nice Vette Alex, love the wheels. The wheels go perfect with the red color. So what year, and how many miles, auto, manual, etc. I would bring the Vette to the track next time.

She's a 2000 Hardtop, 50K miles, Z51 suspension, 6 speed, Black powder coated Z06 wheels, Nitto 555R drag radials, C5R Replica Hood, Black leather interior, all power, HUD. All stock besides hood, and wheels.
Can you believe we still got 2 years/25,000 on the full bumper-bumper warranty ? Almost criminal what I bought her for, feels like stealing. She'll remain stock, at least for now, until the warranty is up.

Wow, you have the best options in that car it sounds like. 50k is not bad at all, nice to still have some warranty left too. Good idea to keep it stock until the warranty is up. Are you going to bring her to the next track meet? I vote for the Vette over the thirdgen.

She'll definately go to the Dyno before the track (gotta know what i'm dealing with here) - but yeah, I'm siding you, the thirdgen sits this round out.

Woah, that's definitely a step up from the TBI.
Congrats.
What exactly is a "steal" for that car may I ask?
Less than $25,000?

While it is a step up in terms of civility and elegance. It's a step down in terms of performance. That sounds crazy, I know . . .
Horsepower is about even - but its no where near the TBI in torque. I entertained notions of selling off the firebird last week, though once I drove the 'vette I realized just how much fun the firebird is to drive.
I really thought the corvette would provide more seat of your pants thrill than my franken-bird. Boy was I wrong about that.
and, yes - less than 25K, but not much less.

That's about 100 more in both areas than the TBI, no?
I would think that'd be a noticeable difference.
The smoother, quieter acceleration, provided by the newer technology probably makes it seem less thrilling maybe?

Interesting.
I had no idea you were putting that much power to the wheels.
I assumed I was making about 250 at the wheels, conservatively.
Where and when did you dyno?

$25k or less is a great price for that Vette Alex, nice job. Let us know what she makes on the Dyno, and then we will see her at the next track meet I hope.
