Good Deal???

Hey guys, I am selling my S10 in hopes of picking up a third gen. i have been looking for a while and think I found what I want. I am located in Northern Cali so I figured I would ask other Californians if this is a good deal or not:

1987 Iroc Camaro. 5.7 liter engine. Auto Tranny. T-tops. Car has 139,000 miles on it but the engine was recently rebuilt. Body/Paint are in great shape. Interior has minor damage (couple tears in seats, a stain or two on the carpet, those kind of things). The only aftermarket part on the vehicle is a aftermarket computer chip that the owner installed after the motor was rebuilt. Asking 2,700 dollars.

What do you all think of this deal??? Good price or not? Also what are some basic third gen problems I should look for when I go to inspect the car in person? All help is greatly appreciated!!!

do they have paperwork on the rebuild. just asking cause when i bought my 89 iroc 350 it was supposedly "rebuilt" but when i tore into it 2 months later it was all orginal factory bearings n ****, only had 20k left on the bearings from over reving and a bad ring.

well its dark and raining right now so pics will have to wait till tomorrow.

As for first impressions I am very happy with the car. It is the oldest car I have owned and the largest engine I have owned so I am loving the muscle car feeling (that I have never experienced before). I am surprised at how well the car turns/handles. acceleration/speed is nothing INSANE but it will put you back into your seet so I am pleased with that. Having 4 wheel disk is cool. I really like leaving two tire marks when I burn out, so thats a plus.

The only thing that really needs some work is the interior. I will be hitting that up soon. But like I said, overall I am very happy with this camaro.
