well i polished them and painted them, they looked real good, and i really liked them, but after a few hours, i noticed some weird lines forming where i had painted. so on close examination, i guess the paint i used started to etch or peel away the plastic, and their was nothing i could do to fix it, so i threw it on the ground and smashed it with my foot.

now i need a new pair of taillights. if anyone scouts any near mint grid style taillights at junkyards or anywhere else online, please let me know.

 

im heading out to the J-yard tomarow.. ill keep an eye out for some... If i dont take them for my self :P

 

i think i found someone selling them in the classified for 50 shipped, not bad i pm'd him and we'll see what he says.

i really just need the covers themselves, the back half i can re use, so if u spot any front peices that are like near mint, or no sun damage or cracks or unbuffable errors, please pick them up for me ill pay premium price.

 

Ill keep my eye out... Though with how hot it gets down here.. I can make no promises... last time i was there.. there looked to be some good sets.

Dude!? You have to clean and scuff plastic before you can paint it. The lines may have been just paint seperating from itself with nothing to stick to. That or it was reacting with the original paint on the lens. Next time clean w soap and water scuff with a red scotch brite and use this stuff called trim black in LIGHT coats.

 

the original lense is not painted, its dyed plastic, and i know for fact it was nfot paint seperating, i was able to peel off peices of plastic with my finger.

 

Im not saying i dont belive you, im going to go try and f up a set this weekend just to see what your talking about though.

 

k, make sure its that house of kolor in a can wal mart sells.
