My wife and I looked this house today and are starting the paperwork on sunday. I am very excited about this house. Then I will take 2 weeks of my vacation time to finish the Formula
and then start my stage 3 on the S4. My current garage is a 3 car but has a wall between the single and double. The new one is all open with shelving on the side which helps a ton.

Good luck. That is a sweet house with plenty of room for your family and all your toys? What do you do for a living as it seems you enjoy yourself a good bit.

Looks nice Steve, good luck.
Where is it and why are you moving again? It seems like you had just moved into a nice house not too long ago.

haha, The previous owner took the tree that was there, I'll put a new one in.
We're buying this house, the one we are in now is a rental while we saved for a down payment. When we had our 3rd, and last kid 2 years ago, we needed a 4 bedroom so we moved into this one. Since my landlord owned this one too, we moved right in. Now it's time to buy our own. We were waiting for the right time in the market. The new house is a 4bed, 3 bath, 2350ish sqft. 1/3 acre. It's listed at 205,000 so it's the right time. The garage is plenty big for me to finish the car. I can't wait to finally drive the car again.
My wife asked if it will beat my S4 since she will be driving the S, I put down my head and said, "no, you'll rape me" so now she wants to race the Formula.

My wife used to love that her '94 Formula was faster than my '79 Camaro, now several years and mods later, she is the slow (and quiet) one!All that aside, looks like a great house man, I really hope things work out well for you and yours. GOOD LUCK
Went back today to sign papers. I was looking around again and realized that the garage is about 5-6' deeper than my current garage which is sweet.

When looking at houses this is really the only "room" I'm interested in! And over the years i've discovered it's the only one I get to decorate too!Originally Posted by 87tpi

Ah, a King and his castle! Way to go Steve. Your house looks nice and I envy your big garage. Are you still in Gardnerville...more closer to Minden?

Good luck man! I just bought my house last year, and like the other guy said, the first thing I looked at was the garage! In fact, the first upgrade made to the house, even before moving in was to laminate the garage floor so that my Baby Iroc could have a nice nights sleep!
Thanks guys.I plan on coating the floor and painting the walls white and puting in florecent lights to brighten it up. I'm also going to install a sink so I don't get crap inside the house, wife hates that.
since I sold the lca's and panhard off the car when I was going through one of my f'it fazes, I'm ordering the new pieces tonight so I can move it to the new place without the rear taking out the car behind me on the highway.

Well after a screw up and non communication between the different departments at the bank (the seller), they lowered the price of the house to 185,000 from 205,000 so we pulled our original offer and made a much lower one. They accepted the new offer so I think I made out fairly well.

Congrats !!! That's a decent price for a new home.
Just look at that garage man *drool*
House payments are way better then apartment payments!

congrats steve. only down fall is their no room for a lift in the garage
hows the family doing.
hows the family doing. The next property I buy will have a seperate shop or enough land for me to build a custom garage. this will do for now though. We only plan to be in this place for about 5-6 years when we can sell for a profit and buy a place where we live now.
They're doing well, little one is just about out of diapers so that's great. The 4 year old will be starting school next year so that will cut down the daycare bill a bit. All the kids can't wait for me to get the Formula going. Everytime my 2 year old walks into the garage he yells "Firebird!"

Here are a few pics to make it "thirdgen related". Will post more when moved.

Love the way your 'bird looks, glad you decided to keep her. Any closeur on the house yet? I know your offer was accepted, but is it yours now?
Yep, it's mine. Closing date is 4-24 and we will be completely moved in on May 1st. I am taking 2 weeks off in the middle of May to finish the Formula and pull the motor/tranny in the S4, and do brakes and a an axle on the Tahoe. I'm going to be pretty busy in May.
Senior Member
Well, congratulations on the new house! I hope you all enjoy it.
BTW: don't forget to post your "burnout in the new garage" pics.
