I was wondering if anyone knew how much the U-Pull it charges for starters. I would have called them but it's too late tonight and I'm a wee bit anxious... Yeah, I bet whoever reads this thought it was going to be something more than this but yeah.. that's all I got.

Re: Chico JY
I am not sure. Last I checked, they only had 2 thirdgens there. I would go to the oroville pick n pull. Or do what I did, and buy an LT1 started with a lifetime warranty... I couldn't be happier.

Re: Chico JY
You would have to be pulling it from a caprice, which they have a few of... I don't know if they are the same starter though. If so, then sweet. PM me if you want to meet up, I would like to check out your RS.

Re: Chico JY
I'm not really driving her aside from going to work and back right now. But (yeah, there's always one of those), my tracking order says that my prom burning equipment should be here by the fifth. It'll be quite a birthday gift for me. I've been running on the l03 program ever since the motor swap. That's actually one of the reasons I'm going to be rummaging for a JY starter this weekend!

Re: Chico JY
I have some prom burning equipment. And my buddy (Naft) in durham ordered an ALDL cable. We are going to be getting together and tuning in a few weeks if you want to get together and learn with us.

Re: Chico JY
I might have to take you up on that. I plan on making up a cable in the near future. Let me tell you buddy, I spent quite some time cleaning all the upholstery in the RS (with a scrub brush, a garden hose, and some stuff that my buddy hooked me up with from a local stealership) and what happens? I leave a window down for like a couple hours tops, and a cat goes and pisses in my car! I've got to do it all over again and pray for the best. I sure do hate that I love that damn car so much!

Re: Chico JY
The Chico yard sucks since the new owners took over, the one in Oroville is much better.

Re: Chico JY
I agree. You don't have any chance haggling them. Everything is inventoried.

Re: Chico JY
Plus there's not even hardly any parts out in the yard anymore work a crap. The place has been cleaned up quite a bit but that's also a bad thing, the cars have been cleaned out of the good stuff lol

Re: Chico JY
Ha ha! It's better than the yard here in Corning. Allstar won't even let you pull your own parts. No tools allowed. THEN they charge more for the part you want. Plus they're dicks but then again so is everyone who works at a salvage yard.

Re: Chico JY
Well, that was a horrible experience. For future reference, I'm calling the two dollars of mine that they now own a farewell gift. The two and a half hours of walking in circles because they kept telling me they were certain that they had one (well two z28's and a caprice). They did have one base model 93 fbody that they kept pushing on me too... Grr.. I guess I'm going to have to buy one from Kragen(my bad, orielly's or whatever they are now). Does anyone know the P/N? Also if anyone might know if it's for a 168 tooth or 153. I'm pretty sure that my motor has a 168 tooth but I'm not sure on specifics..

Re: Chico JY
They didn't.. That's why I'm pissed. All they had was a 93 base with a six cylinder.

Re: Chico JY
Last time i went there like a month ago, they had 2 LT1 Caprices, and 3 TBI Caprices. Then they had 2 stripped thirdgens... A base 4th gen, and an engineless Z28.

Re: Chico JY
The newest caprice they had was like 87. They had the 92 roadmaster that I pulled my motor from still a hand full of third gens and a base model fourth gen. I just wish they could have told me when I walked up to the place..

Re: Chico JY
yeah, they aren't very good. The last owners were great... only a buck to get in, you could bargain with them... I sold some R/C stuff to a guy with the old owners... So he would but me really good deals... Got my whole A/C Delete box with blower motor for like $17 or something really cheap... New owners suck!

Re: Chico JY
That explains why I've left pissed off the last two times I've been there. I remember January I think it was there was a short little mexican ****er working there and he hooked me up with the motor I'm running right now. That was the only reason I kept going ha ha!

Re: Chico JY
For future reference, the Redding version (same company, I think) Is just as worthless as the Chico one.. I'm guessing that I've got no choice but to shell out for a new one now..
