Re: new car.
I'm jealous man. I was considering a 350Z before the Slowstang. Anyone who hates on a 350Z has got something wrong in their head. They're great cars, pretty quick too.
.....But at least if it is hated on, you'll know the feeling of having a decent car, and being hated on because it's not a third gen!

Re: new car.
Cool. I was just talking about those and the G35's with a co-worker. Give us some details.
Any mods done to it? What did you pick it up for, 18-20K?
Did you trade in the 4th gen, or private sale? How many miles were on it and what did it go for?
I'm asking of course since I may sell my WS6 later this year.

Re: new car.
I picked up the 350z for a bit under 15k.
its bone stock. virgin. black on black. just the wheels are the only addition.
i dont know what other details you'd like to hear? being an 06 was a mid model change for a lot of things, such as the lighting upgrade i already mentioned, and a bit more powerful v6 engine with 300hp.
the fourth gen was a private sale, and because of that, i dont want to disclose any details unless the new owner wants to chime in

Re: new car.
Cool, good enough. I wasn't sure what the older ones were going for, but I do recall they went up power wise from 275/285 previously
I was looking at the newer 370z's a few months ago across the street at Folsom auto mall. They were in the late 30-40K range. Yikes!
Understood on the private sale. Does that mean it's Will? haha. I've seen his FB posts about totaling the Honda and on a hunt for something else.

They sound good with Vortech Superchargers too, haha. Seen one or two at the track.
What's the 6MT swap Steve and is your Formula confirmed sold yet?

Re: new car.
What's that supposed to mean travis? "Steve's crowd" I still love American muscle but as a dd with 5 of us, not so much. Why not have a 500hp awd car that I can drive year round and still get 28 mpg's. I still look on cl for 3rd and 4th gens but I just can't have a project car sitting in the garage that isn't worth much.
Del, my silver S4 has a tiptonic transmission and I cracked the fluid pump. It would cost 5500to build the auto to hold the power. I bought the 2nd S4 for 3000 for all the 6mt stuff (6 speed manual) and part the rest and make my money back.

Steve - Very cool deal. I see now why you'd make the trip for that.
Yeah, how many miles were on that '98 Travis? 180??

Re: new car.
it will..that's pretty sad on my behalf...damn!
More teasin'. But I said it before and will say it again. I'd rather drive my old slow car then a fast new one. It's a nice ride, i've driven one before. pretty comfy

That's funny, but it's exactly what I've had my eye on for the next DD, except probably go older, like 2008.
Comfort, ride quality, sweet mpg and some cool bells and whistles for a good price.

Love the new 350Z, definitely a great daily driver. Would definitely rather have that as a DD than my Iroc.
