What's on your to-do list before april 14th?

In order of priority for myself I need to get a new starter, this relatively new hitachi starter is not cranking at all when it gets hot even after a 5 minute drive its barely turning over. New one on order. I will be getting a DEI heat shield wrap with this one as well! Other then that I have a plugged outlet on my radiator thats about due to be replaced. I hate using those cheap rubber caps they show cracks way to early and I dont need one breaking on me at the track. I may run a hose off of it and make it plumb in the intake or something.
Lastly I want to get my mirrors painted and installed along with my hood being repainted so I have a little more of a complete car for race day

Re: What's on your to-do list before april 14th?

im doing a water pump for preventive. I have a brake squeak that comes and goes from the front brakes. so i will take care of that. and I need to tune more. I doubt that I will be racing. But I might be ready.

I have the same issue man. Mine is a Powermaster mini I think, but too much heat that close to the header I believe. Bought some wrap too and hopefully that does it. Let me know if that does the trick for you.

Install window net tomorrow.

Fill up eight 15lb bottles of nitrous.

Install new carpet kit to make car resemble a normal car.

Install new slicks on wheels.

Load car on trailer.

I don't know what is up with these mini starters. I have more clearance with my ceramic coated long tubes then I do with an old obese starter hiding under iron manifolds. I will have my new starter installed either sunday or tuesday weather dependant. I am sure no difference will be noticed between then and race day. Will yours be replaced by the 14th as well?

Keep me posted on dyno numbers, off and on the sauce. What color carpet? Red I hope! I also hope to only be ~1 second behind you. rounded numbers of coarse your 9.x to my 10.x

Black carpet, to match the black plastic interior. It's like yours, it's starting to look like a real normal car.

Except for it's loud and runs about 140 mph in the 1/4.

Nice, nice. Full interiors are the way to go. I am really loving driving mine. Feels like a normal car again minus the cam and blower noise.

Some rewiring to finish, tune, smog, possibly brakes... It's gonna go to the wire. But I'm hopeful. Working outta town 5-6 days a week sucks sometimes.lol

Next to the tires rubbing all over the place, that has to be an uncomfortable ride, huh? Dropped on rubber bands and limited suspension travel....

Re: What's on your to-do list before april 14th?

so your going to be making an appearance Mr. Car of the month?

oh and for the record. I changed my front brakes, changed my water pump, and did an oil change so those 3 things are ready for the track. If I do in fact race. which is very unlikely at this point and time
