That's right. Time for our 3rd, YES, 3RD ANNUAL Norcal Thirdgen Cruise to Santa Cruz! Last year was a blast, and our largest turnout to date. This year is shaping up to be even bigger, and better than before. I'd love to hear from you guys, likes, dislikes, etc. I am thinking that this year an organized potluck would be better than trying to find 40+ parking spaces in downtown Santa Cruz. I'll be looking at venues over the next couple of weeks, and also creating an official thread in the next month. I'm thinking June, right now. That could change, but I think it works well for our needs. Anyway, just wanted to get the ball rolling. Been speaking with some of the norcal guys and I get the impression that people would like to do this event again. Lets keep the tradition alive! Thanks guys

I was thinkin about this too street actions is doin a santa cruz ride in may i really like natural bridges park unless you have another place in mind

 

I like the park we went to last year. we know what to expect now. and they said you could reserve spots which is great. as far as a potluck I am not in for that. I look forward to visiting an eating spot in there whether it be burger. or betty's burger so I would be going there. Now I still think people can bring what they want to eat and you can designate a grill master to cook peoples food whether it be on the bbq pits they have there or not.

So there is 5 weekends in June to pick from. 1-2, 8-9, 15-16 (Fathers Day Weekend), 22-23, 29-30. Street Actions is having their cruise May 25th so i wouldn mind it later in the month jus my .

 

Yeah at least a month apart would be nice. But I also have A/C so you non a/c guys may want it earlier in June.

 

I agree with my Manteca boys... a potluck is not ideal. Having an ice chest shoved in the backseat, for the better part of 5 or so hours (counting meeting spots, photo opps, the actual drive and God forbid someone have car trouble) sounds a little risky. I think if we can agree on somewhere to meet (given that venues ability to accommodate), that would be best. Just my opinion.

natural bridges and a dinner spot after sound alright seems people go different ways once we get there goin to the boardwalk, dinner, or wat ever. i like the route we do dont think we need any changes to that. i hope to have the 86 all ready for this year missed out last year and got a piggy back ride home the first year.

 

I should be down to go finally! I am settled in with my job and my car is just coming back together now which means it should be good for a cruise before I blow it up at the end of this year. lol

I'll have my Camaro back on the road in a few weeks and can't wait for the Santa Cruz cruise to happen again. The route last year was great and if they block off the parking lot for us we'll have great place to park and hang out.

Sweet guys! Been MIA for the last week or so. I'm going to start putting some things together here. Time is already starting to fly and here it is almost April!

I know ur plate is full, so I don't mind pitching in to help. Tim, last year you wanted to do shirts. Is there any way you may be able to look into those again? im jus worried that an earlier event might ruin it for everyone i try and bump it on the fb page every once in a while. t shirts is no big deal to look into be less than $20 a shirt jus need to get a design with the right pixels they can work with. i will be lettin 2 car clubs from stockton kno about the cruise its comin up pretty fast and almost need to call the park and see if we can reserve a spot before its too late.

 

Well im in it this year for sure just need a bit of tuning on my 89Z but is running and ready for its first santa cruz cruise. My bro might bring his 88 irocz and my boy either his rs or z28

I'm going to talk to my wife and see if we can make another small vacation like last year or maybe drive down myself and ride with someone in the cruise.

Im really excited for this event. Have always wanted to do something like this with my Z but never have. I already got the weekend off work and am working on getting my Z all cleaned up.
