pump
well i finally was able to install my fuel pump over the weekend
it wasn't much fun, especially when you do it by yourself...
and even with a rack and supports i still managed to injure myself in the process...i have a nice bruise on my stomach from trying to yank the damn tank out...and i have to say this is the first time that i see a fuel tank that doesn't have a rubber filler neck....what the hell was gm thinking when the put that in there...as in one piece..you know how much easier it would of been if it was a 2 pieces ? at least it would help the tank flex more easily!?..!
banging the tank away wasn't fun either....
i end up having one too many pushed in dents on the body of the tanks and the inside the body where the neck goes over...
after everything was put together, the filler neck is now lower and not centered like it use to be...i'm leaving it like that because i don't want to keep bending it and have it somehow rip open and leak out the fuel...this tank is alumized??!
this definately, was an experience but i hope i don't have to do it again...
as for those who did it on the floor, i dunno how u did it but that musta been worse....but having people helping you out probably help compensate for different tasks...

i just dropped the shocks and let the rear end down a bit. pulling the tank is the easy part, putting it back sucks.

I give Nick props on dropping the tank out lol
He gets me so po'ed when he does it in one move lol
they run me solo or Nick and I figure 3-4 hrs screwing around. Doesnt matter if its in the driveway or on a rack at work.

I just did my first pump on my car last week and it sucked. I did it by myself in my unheated garage on jackstands and it took me forever.
