let the car show season begin!!!
okay so it's summer time 2014
and i'm already looking forward to hitting up some the local cruise in and car show scene. I'll keep this post as updated as possible as the summer moves along. Of course our big topic is the trip to the Hot Rod Power Tour meeting....that's already in another post.
The downtown Lemont area is going to start having cruise ins starting this coming Wensday (June 4th and weather permitting) time is 6pm to 9pm but i recommend getting there early if you plan in being in the show because it get packed pretty quickly. The wensdays cruise ins will be every wens. till end of august.
Then downtown Elmhurst will have a "smaller" car show every thursdays starting at 630pm (?)
Also a big cruise in is downtown Lombard. Many of times its hard to find parking and extremely recommend to get there as early as 4pm for best spots even though the show starts at 6pm. It gets even more packed when there's a live band going on, sometimes bands like "American English" shows up and the crowds are huge.
speaking of which i was going through downtown Lombard last Sat. and saw a white formula 350 with Ronal wheels...is that anyone from the boards here? If so hope to see you out there next weekend!
If anyone else want to chime in, please do as i wanna keep this updated as the summer moves on! C'mon boys and girls..bring out your thirdgens and show what classics are made of! Because we are "the next generation of restoration!"

Bill and I hit lombard last saturday, not a bad turnout, i think the clouds kept people away.
Dave-Did you make it out with Raul?
We got there later, Saw Raul's uncle, but that was it.

Re: let the car show season begin!!!
i was there with my fiancee, marco was with his blackbird there, and also Jason with his GTA convertible was parked on the main road. There was another guy who had a red 91-92 Camaro hardtop, (his wife was driving it) and he also brought out his 70s corvette as well. Saw a couple other ones as well. It was a nice turn out for sure. We were there till like 730ish/8pm. Didn't see you there tim. I think you texted me when we were leaving. Always another Saturday....
