Going to the track tomorrow!
I cant wait, finally! My car is stock, and for 2 reasons. Money, and plus i always wanted a bone stock time to see where i am and help me with mods to see performance gains.
So anyways guys, i'm off to bed and i'll post the times as soon as i get back. I'm going to the Lapeer track, plus its supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow.

Well i just got back about an hour ago. I can proudly say that i'm happy with the results and got it to where my goal was.
I'll post back later with the official times and numbers and all.
But i'll say that i broke in the 14s, very happy, that was my goal.
My first run was 15.5 something, which was dissapointing. But after a few more runs, and taking out the filter with the air box, i finally broke 14s, and got 14.9 something. I could of got even lower if i got better traction, my best was like 2.0??, and i didnt take out spare tire, mats, extra stuff, so i know i could of got lower, but i'm still happy.
Id say thats not bad going from 15.5 to 14.9 all from a little tweaking.
The car is bone stock, and i mean stock, its got nothing, no KN filter, exhaust work, or weight reduction, just pure stock. Plus the wind was against us today, so that sucked.
I cant believe i gain 2 tenths just from removing the filter, wow! It was great, i had fun, and now i know where i'm at, its modding time now.

I remember the first time I took "bandit" to the track right after purchase, stock 305 w/120,000 miles, 245/65-15 all season radials, barely passed tech cause it was so ragged out under the hood. Ran consitent 14.8's and surprised the **** out of everybody that gave a crap. Tried bigger cam for the hell of it and blew the damn thing up the next morning.

I'm trying to remember back that far, I want to say the short times were like 1.98-2.0?, **** man after all the passes and numerous bolt-on changes it's hard to remember, what did what and when, but yeah everone thought that it might have been a 350 somebody swapped out at sometime, after I blew it up we tore off a head to double check (aside from other tell-tale signs)and it was a 305.

Ya thats good advise. I wish i had the money right now to start, but have to wait, oh well. First thing is full exhaust, headers and cat-back, and my even a cutout.
