2005 NHRA Rulebook
Heard a rumor that the 2005 NHRA rulebook may include an ET Break change from 11.99 to 11.50 to be consistant with the new Pure Stock class. Anyone else here anything?

so now you can run an 11.49(or slower) in the 1/4 and still not need a roll bar? did i read that right? so they chopped off the old time of 11.99

That's how I read it... Find out soon enough after the first of the year when I go to the track again
Still going to put a roll bar in since a bigger engine is going in the car.

More than a few track owners are not thrilled with the rule change. I would not be suprised if some tracks will still go by the 04 rule. E-town in NJ is 1 track rumored to stay w/11.99 rule. I hope the 11.49 rule IS widely accepted. No Roll bar for me.

Primarily for trucks.
They're limiting how high off the ground the crank centerline can be. The faster you go, the closer it has to be to the ground.
Nothing you should have to worry about.
