Well the track opens back up tomorrow, and i want to get down there. Last season i pulled a 13.5 at 99. This time I got some slicks, and i am hoping i can get better traction. Anyone think I can get some better times? Thanks

What was your 60' with out the slicks?

 

yeah Id say with a 99 mph trap speed, u could see 13.3 or 13.4's with great traction.

honestly, i'd only expect about 1-2 tenths drop in et with the slicks. those are some stellar 60' times for street tires.

 

I just want to get a low 13 and trap a little better.

Those are real good 60' times for street tires so im assuming that they are the same diameter tires i would say 13.2's or 13.3's. You will probably trap the same if not a little bit lower with the slicks from my experience.

 

I highly doubt I will see 13.2's, unless i get some other mods. Maybe if everything goes PERFECT. Conditions/air, low tire pressure, little fuel, insane traction.

 

Well, it didnt go too bad. The best run of the day was a 13.471 at 100.54. The weather was around 56-60 degrees. Next time I go i am going to get an edge converter with a 2800 stall, and hopefully a zz9 cam. Thanks for all your responses. If you have any other comments speak up. Later...
