Finally ran the IROC!
Ran it at the local Test -N- Tune Friday afternoon.
First run, 34 deg timing, no tire spin:
60' - 1.679
330 - 5.008
1/8 Mile - 7.834
MPH - 86.78
1000' - 10.278
1/4 - 12.355
MPH - 107.73
Through the evening I tried diff settings, 28 deg timing did not work for me!
My 383 enjoyed 38 deg timing but my 60' suffered on just about every launch, spinning approx 10'. I took my ET Streets all the way down to 12 PSI and still couldn't hook. Next time the sway bar is coming off!
Best run, 38 deg timing in by 3,000, added fuel:
60' - 1.684
330 - 5.014
1/8 Mile - 7.832
MPH - 87.19
1000' - 10.263
1/4 - 12.298
MPH - 111.33
I mainly pulled 12.6's at 111, got real close to 112 once but my 60' was 1.9/2.0 each run after I bumped to 38 degrees. Now, if I could only hook it up!

thats the combo i want to run. lol a 230/236 cam on good heads and hsr...but now i'm goin LT1 intake.
but even so, i thought that combo would be good for 115mph traps and high 11's
where do you shift that thing at?

TraviZ,
Whats up with that? If I wanted my list posted I would have posted it. Well whats done is done.
It shifts at 6K and I believe it will hit 11.9's if I can get it to hook up. It's still pretty heavy with full interior and operating A/C. A few more areas to improve would be to lose the ZZ4 balancer for a stock one, it's a few pounds less of rotating mass. The driveshaft is steel also, could benefit from an Aluminum one if it would handle the power. Lose the A/C for at least 60 lbs and remove the sway bar at the track. Easy 11.9's...

i dont see what the big deal is on your setup. it runs pretty good man, congrats. i bet alittle more seat time and some more tuning with good weather you'll see high 11's and 115 mph traps.

hehe, my budget 350 went faster than that and i'm not afraid to list the combo...shoot, i'm down 73 cubes from you right now and am only 5 mph slower...don't come on here braggin' about stuff and then don't list your junk...especially when it's only a 12.2x pass.

Not sure where you guys are coming from?? I never said I had a "secret recipe". Just decided to share my times, no bragging intended. The first time in six years since I've been to the track and had a blast.
Enjoy my mod list. Later
