First time out and need opinions

Last weekend I ran a 12.52@111.1 with a 1.9 60ft, in 95 degree heat with high humidity. First time I ever raced with drag radials. I've got a supercharged 350 with virtually NO suspension modifications other than lowering springs (which probably is not good for the rear end) and subframe connectors.

With better DRs and a cooler day I'm thinking I might hit 11.9, but what should I _absolutely_ have done to the suspension at this point. The next time I go out I plan on reinstalling the stock springs in the rear.

Nice ride and times!
Where did you find that low mile beauty?

I would say LCAs & reloc brackets since you're lowered, instead of swapping springs.

What were your times before the ATI setup?
15psi of boost? yowsa!

first of all, i do the rear end first. That stock 10 bolt is gonna grenade on u pretty soon. Good moser 12bolt wil fit ur application perfectly. Now depending if this a daily driver or a all out drag car, I say for gears 3.23 for street or 3.73 for drag use Is this gonna be ur daily street driven car or its built strictly for drag racing?

It's the 9 bolt, the strong one (from what I have read).

I'm only interested in an 11 second timeslip. I don't care if it runs 11.9 or 11.0, I just want one 11 sec slip to my name and then I'll probably not race it much more after that if ever.

The reason I was thinking just swapping out rear springs is, well, because I have the stock ones and it's easy and free.

It'd be great if I could just swap out the springs, run some new DRs and race on a 65 degree day and belt out an 11.99999. If I can't, though, then the launch is where I'm going to spend the least amount of money to get there from here the way I figure it.

He has the Borg Warner 9-bolt like I do.
It's perfectly fine into the 11's and beyond.

I don't think stock springs are the answer to 11's, although cooler weather will help a bit.
You asked what you should absolutely have done to the susp.
LCAs/brackets are my advice, torque arm wouldn't hurt either.

See my Q's above too. ^

Thanks

Where I found it:

My mechanic built this car for his son 8 years ago. He lost interest in the car soon after, and has been trying to sell it to me since 2000. I finally gave in

Engine has forged internals and compression lowered to 8:1 to handle the large amounts of boost. The work was done at the same time the supercharger was put on, so the only times it posted were on a bone-stock set up...mid 14s.

Awesome, built for boost with stock TPI on top still.
Have you had any tuning done? 11's could be had with just that I'm sure.
I know a guy that does TPI custom chips/dyno tuning in North Canton, Ohio if interested.

I'm running a full bolt-on L98 with heads & mild cam, only mid-13's so far.
Just curious what I'd run with about 6-7psi boost.
I'd love to have your mid-12 times with half the psi.

Yeah, it has a custom prom. I didn't get much of a chance to fool around with the fuel pressure at boost because it was so hot when I ran. I also only saw 10lbs or so- I see 13lbs just fooling around in cooler temperatures, with a max between 15-16, again when it is cool.

I'll probably get the LCAs and brackets, new DRs, and wait to go back to the track until september. I'm hoping I won't have any trouble hitting my goal with good ambient temps at that point.
