-Sumped Tank with aeromotive 150gph pump -8 line feeding a aeromotive return style regulator
-Lightened about 400lbs
-Battery in the rear
-Stock type suspension with new components
-Underdrive pulleys
-Removed all a/c components

Im hoping to be in the low to mid 11's
Also, what could I do to put this in the 10's with out huge mods?
Also, a roll cage and better suspension are soon to come.

low 12s on motor i'd assume, and figure low 11s on spray. A 200 shot took a buddies car from 11.7 to 10.7 to give you an indication of what ET can drop.

Also, is the roll cage going to help my times at all by stiffening up the body and better weight transfer. Oh, and my machine shop said this motor should be putting out between 525-550. Also, the Edelbrock heads I have probably have about a 230 cc intake runner matched to the intake. What can you guys tell me from this. Also plan on doing a rear end swap to a moser 9" with 4.11's. How much would this help.

i think your machine shop is lying on the HP number honestly, but I haven't seen a E-tec head at the track run much better than a stock vortec at all. The roll bar is for safety to run quicker than 11.49, but will also stiffen up everything.

i could see the motor putting that much out WITH nitrous but not N/A. 11's should be there easy, drop the lsa down to 110, you'll pick up some more power there. i would say you could do 10's if you could hook up REALLY good.

What do guys really think my motor is putting out based on what was said above. Im guessing somewhere between 425-450 on motor and about 550 on juice. Becuase I couldnt believe what they told me when they said between 525-550. Also, when you guys are saying low 11's on juice, is that with my 3.27 rear I have now, or after I change to a 9" with 4.11's? Becuase I would be very happy with low 11's now with my current rear end.

i think you should swap that rear with either a 9" or 12 bolt.. and step up the gearing to either 3.90.. that 3.27 gear will leave you WAY off the peak when you trap.. not sure how high of an rpm you will hit..
i dont know what those E-tec heads are gonna do because you are the first person i've seen to run them.. i just looked at the flow numbers and they are not too bad.. my guess for a time would be high 11's.. on spray you should be in the high 10's.. change out that manifold for a vic jr. for the spray.. it will help out the upper RPM too..

Changing the manifold is not an option, just spent $1000 on a new hood and paint!! But could I use this manifold with a 150 fogger and a 100 plate? I do plan on changing the rear end with a 4:11 gear and 9". Just glad to hear I can hit 11's now with my current set up.
----------
I used the E-tec heads, becuase a lot of guys are running them around here and are having good results with the cam set up I am using now.

if guys local to you are running that cam and heads, then ask them what they run. I just know what my vortec combo runs and how it's extremely close in flow numbers to E-tec heads, so I know it won't be above 425-435 hp unless you have a freak.

Theres a guy out here at my local track with a 388, 12:1 comp, E-tec heads, Vivtor Jr. intake, same cam, 750 carb, and he said he is pushing out around 500hp.

Also, take note these heads ARE NOT the E-tec 170's with the 1.94's. They have the 2.02's and 1.60's. Also the intake runners are 230cc and the exhaust 85cc. I have a hard time believing these heads dont flow much better than a stock vortec head. Like I said above these heads are worked pretty good. Eventually, I will go with a bigger cam, I still want the car to be streetable, after all, it is my daily driver.

first of all you dont want to run 150 through a fogger, its just tooo small of a shot for a direct port setup. the jet orifaces are so small they can get clogged so easily. if the fuel jet gets clogged, you're gonna go lean, if the nitrous gets clogged, you'll go rich and bog. another thing is, if you can afford a direct port setup, you can afford a 200 intake(vic jr), plus selling the one you have can cover some of the cost. direct port set up is gonna cost you at minumim $1000 just in parts, if you got the equipment to tap the manifold and bend the hardlines that will save you some money. if you dont, or you dont feel comfortable better tack on another 2-300 in machine shop costs. if you cant pay to play..dont spray!

I have a plate already but have seen guys who run plates and foggers. It was just an idea, the next motor I build is going to be a big block with about 650hp and a big shot of spray. Thats when I will take the car off the road and make it a trailer queen.
