stock 92 z28 time
so i got this 92 z28 305tpi, it was sitting in my buddys back yard for a year and I basically pulled it out of the woods and took it to the track It was completely STOCK! One of the front brake calipers was also sticky, but anyways I ran a 16.52 @ 80mph, now given it sitting in the woods for a year it still felt as strong as it ever did even pryer to siting for a year, whats wrong with this car, and its an automatic.. I just wanna get a little feedback about this and also to let you guys know what a turd I got, i would have thought alot better for a 92 tpi but whatever!

As an added bonus, a video.
7plagues is right on the money and this isn't an interesting topic.

Re: stock 92 z28 time
Well, it is a 305, at best it will go high to mid 15s with a test and tune so give that thought, the 350s were only going 14s, some would hit a high 13 from what i have seen from some B4C cars and formulas, but thats it, good luck with it, my old 90 RS went 16.50 with a perfectly new motor and my heavy but in it, that was a tbi car, you wont have that much more on it...

Re: stock 92 z28 time
Are you absolutely sure it's a Z28? If it's all stock it should have the TPI intake and they should be running mid to low 15's for the SD cars. Do a complete tune up, check everything to make sure it's functioning correctly and then take it to the track.

Re: stock 92 z28 time
lol 16's? my mom's mercury sable runs that. You should be low 15's if you tune it up and press the pedal all the way down.
