Re: ZZ4 ET Question
are you talking about taking a ZZ4 crate and adding a stock TPI system to it? or are you talking about the ZZ4 hotcam based 357hp Scoggin dickey crate TPI motor?
stock ZZ4 with TPI should go mid 13's easily with right gearing/suspension and stall. Mine stock L98 with exhaust/stall/gears/slicks went 13.63 and another guy here has gone much faster...13.2's are looking like a possibility for him. Bigger runners/base should make that car go mid lower 13's
the hotcam crate will put down more power, as long as you use aftermarket TPI stuff. stock tpi will choke it. i can see 12's at 105-107 or so as long as everything else is in check

Re: ZZ4 ET Question
Orr89RocZ thanks for the reply What I have is a zz4 with a edelbrock lower intake and SLP runners using the stock 305 injectors and throttle body. I’m using shorty headers and a cat back system for the exhaust. Its has a 2400 stall with 3.42 gears With the old engine the car ran about 13.5s in 1/4 and 8.5s in the 1/8. I'll find out what it runs soon with the new engine

Re: ZZ4 ET Question
that combo could use more stall but should still run well on good tires. ZZ4 has slightly better heads and cam than fbody L98's so should run a few tenths quicker for sure. I've seen stock TPI L98s with stall/gears doing mid 13's. you'll probly get lower 13's with that setup
Re: ZZ4 ET Question
A friend of mine had a ZZ4 in an 89' IROC dual cat car. Mail order tune, K&N's, flowmaster muffler, BFG DR's... all else was stock. Car was consistently running 13.40's @ 99 MPH.
