Project almost complete (Dyno times!)
Hey, I'm hoping this car is gonna go elevens.
Got an 86' Sport Coupe with a fresh 383 11.1 forged pistons with 65 cc AFR 195's and Comp Xe-284 cam. Has 1.6 roller rockers. (241/246 @ .050 and 530/540 lift are all the numbers)
Has victor Jr. intake with Mighty Demon 750 and 1 inch spacer. MSd ignition and hooker 2210 long tubes with turndowns.
It made 373 RWHP and 357 RWT on a Dyno jet and made power to 6400.
this all through a hand-me-down Th-350 (auto valvebody) 3200 stall converter and 7.5 rear with 4.10's. also 275-60 dr's.
What do you guys think? 11's? What kind of power is that at the motor?

Re: Project almost complete (Dyno times!)
How much Power does this calculate to at the crank. Is there any online calculators or does anyone know the actual pecent lost through the drivetrain?
Thanks

I'd say a little bit more then that even, with a TH350.
Is this an LS1 style then? ie LS style heads? i'd guess no, since it seems like you're running a hydraulic flat tappet cam, but your name is fastLS1 so I need to ask.

Sorry this name was years old I used to have a nice Ls1 car. Wish I could change the name. It's an early .010 4 bolt block. I'm gonna change that cam out next season for a hydro roller.

Re: Project almost complete (Dyno times!)
you should have an 11 sec pass you will need some more converter to go a little faster but then you will for shure need a new rear. Did you buy this car from this site as a roller?

Re: Project almost complete (Dyno times!)
I would say 11's pretty easily depending on the weight. My raceweight was 3380, and I made an SAE corrected 330rwhp, TH350, 3k stall, LCA's and a set of wheels/tires.

Re: Project almost complete (Dyno times!)
This is the car that conlinnj had. I just finnaly got it together. I have a short video of it but dont know how to host it.
I'm actually thinking of trading the car for something more streetable. I'd like to get an 11 sec pass from it first. If I don't trade it, I built it for a 250 shot so I'll be putting that on. should go tens.

Re: Project almost complete (Dyno times!)
I'm going to say unless the car is 3700lbs+, it will run at least high 11's with good traction.
Although 4.10's with a 6400rpm redline and 275-60 tires might get that motor buzzing too high at 120mph. I'm taching almost 6000rpm (at 127mph) with 3.42 and 245-50-16 tires, power peak is about 5600...
