I didn't get anything in the way of go-fast parts this year, but got the tools
New Miller performance series welding helmet, can't wait to try it out.
Subscription to CarCraft, sweet
Two pairs of "Snap-On" mechanics gloves, I was way too excited by those.
And this: http://www.amazon.com/Joby-Gorillato...309002&sr=8-11
I'd never seen something like this before, but it is bitchin'. Now I want two, LOL
Oh... And a pair of fuzzy dice in the stocking
Let's hear what you guys got!

I don't wait for christmas to buy things I need, however, I do have a new camshaft somewhere in the mail system that I don't expect to see until January. The camshaft I currently use works well but just isn't the best choice for the heads I'm currently using. This new camshaft "should" really wake up the engine.

BTW, is Santa a metaphor for who pays for it?

My Dad gave me a Snap-On jacket and heavy socks and a Gearwrench adjustable pry-bar.
My Aunt bought me a Nitrous kit I picked out. I didn't get too much this year since my parents sent me to Vegas to see Barret-Jackson in September on my 18th birthday.

Speaking of power tools, I need to go pick up a new jigsaw tomorrow. I just broke my old el-cheap-o brand one today. I was cutting out a new front motor plate and it crapped out. Not fixable. You get what you pay for.

Re: So... What did Santa bring this year?
For my 86 IROC restore.
New modern lights all around.
Jegster torque arm w/ relocating cradle.
New gas tank.
New lock set.
Founders caster/camber plates, lower control arms, lca relocation brackets, adjustable panhard bar.
Another batch of quite mat for the interior.
I was hoping santa would rebuild my T5 to handle the new 383, but he forgot I guess.

A lot of work clothes for the new upcoming job which is awesome. Pair of boots for working on. My car or doing mechanic work, their oil resistant their sweet. Summitracing giftcard which I spent already. That's pretty much it didn't want/desire anything. Good times with the family and their support for my project was good.

NiceI always get flashlights too.... But I got a sweet one this year, it has 3 adjustable "legs" with magnetic bases, so I can literally position it anywhere. 100 Lumens too, it's bright, love it.
There are always more tools I wish I had... Drill press right now, but the money has to come from somewhere. But the one who dies with the most tools wins right?

^^haha, true story.
there are lots of things i need....a buddy of mine is going to bring over his 80 gallon air compressor since he doesn't use it any more, and let me do payments on it, that's pretty huge. it's a big porter cable belt driven monster. i will be looking to get a drill press and a band saw maybe this year...and a press. i could do just about anything if i had those three things

My wife and I got each-other wedding bands. We have been married for 8 years, and together for 12. We have been focusing on getting out of debt, and with that done we celebrated by getting some modest rings.
Her ring has diamonds in it which I reminder her is actually lumps of coal. LOL!

One of the responsibilities of owning a 1LE, can't modify it beyond maintenance. I have already changed out the fluids, and bought almost every NOS part I can find. Shes hibernating for the winter at the moment.

Re: So... What did Santa bring this year?
I went shopping today because I needed new SFI stuff that has expired. Christmas presents or just purchased over the holidays?
I bought new Platinum series belts. Get to use them for 2 years then send them back to get recertified for another 2 years. As long as cross border postage isn't stupid and our exchange rate stays reasonable, getting them recertified in 2 years is actually cheaper then buying a new set. Price was the same as a regular set but they didn't have any regular belts in stock with a future date stamped in them. These belts start in March. Not like I'll be needing them until May anyway. I can still sell off my old belts for half the cost of the new ones. Lots of stock cars and 4x4 drivers want them.
I also picked up a new tranny/flexplate shield. I use a CSR shield. The one piece shield covers the tranny and bellhousing so it's 2 shields in one. More expensive than a simple tranny blanket and flat metal bar flexplate shield but fits so much better under the tranny tunnel that it's worth the extra cost. Shields are good for 5 years. The flexplate is good for 3 years and I have another year on that so next winter I pull the tranny again to change the flexplate
I also picked up a few other small things I needed. $500 later, I was walking out of the store.

Re: So... What did Santa bring this year?
Kinda along same lines, purchased over the holidays...
- A 15 gal air compressor... finally!
- 6 of those diamond plate shop lights from Home Depot. Why didn't I get these sooner?!?! OMG what a huge difference in the garage now.
- Misc parts for my LT1 swap.
My dad is buying me a SA2010 Bell Vortex GT helmet as a 'sponsor' since mine expired last year.
