Just got back from the track heres my crappy times!
This was my first time at the track but here is my best timeslip:
reaction: .416
60 ft: 2.245
660 ft: 10.212
E.T.: 15.950
MPH: 85.482
Is this a good time for my mods? What would my times be with 3.73 gears and 120 shot nitrous? Thanks
MODS:
K&N FILTERCHARGER
K&N X-TREME FLOW TOP PLATE
FLOWMASTER 80 SERIES MUFFLER
EDELBROCK T.E.S. HEADERS
HYPERTECH THERMOMASTER CHIP
160* THERMOSTAT

With almost same mods as yours (except headers, chip, and i have 180 stat) i run a 16.75 1/4 mile @ 85.44mph w/ a 2.79 60' time , and it was also my first time at the track. Do you have a manual or auto? Its amazing how close our mph are. I got you beat by a couple hundreds of a second on the mph, he he

As long as you can hook up the nitrous alone is good for about 1.5 seconds. You'd be about mid 14's with NOS. The gears might get you into the 13's with NOS.

My bone stock TBI 305 with 2.73's ran 16.11. I made 8 passes all within a tenth but I also have years of bracket racing experience with my Nova, so I know how to be consistent.

No, the 60' time is not normal, i managed to get a 2.4x before, but i got a worse overall time. I think the gears and the peg leg are the biggest problem. When i don't drop the clutch and just floor it, it will move very slowly off the line and then gets up and goes. With the 3.42 gears i have in there right now, i don't drop the clutch and it moves real quick from the start with just a little bit of tire squeal. Still don't have posi though.

I think I may know some reason why your going so slow. How my car was. If I hook up and get good traction I would get like high 15's. But if I sping the tires. I mean rev it up as far as it would go. ANd then floor it with the tires spinning I would hit like mid 15's. I think it was because of my bad low end. Yes a LO3 with no low end. (I had 350 heads on my car)
