i know that guy. he goes to RT 66 in joliet, Il. it runs mid 12s.

my buddy has a stock lookn' turbo minivan that runs mid 13s right now because the limitation of the stock turbo. that project is on hold right now because we are making his turbo daytona a 12 second car.

did you know that the 91 Dodge Spirit R/T had a 224hp turbo motor and ran the 1/4 in about 14.6 @ 94? that would keep up with some stock irocs

I just don't understand people like that... Do they just have no time on there hands? If a car sucks in the first place, why make it go fast? I could go build a car out of dried cow **** and put a big engine in it and get it to run 12's, but why?? Its still a piece of crap!

Why not??? It's nice to see a little adversity every now and then. People ask my brother all the time why he doesn't take the engine out of his truck and put it in a Camaro or a Nova, but what would be special about a 12 sec. Camaro or Nova, you see them at every drag strip on the planet. Now a 3800# licensed and insured, street driven, naturally aspirated, small-block powered, stock suspension, pickup truck running 12.40's is something you don't see every day. When people see the what the truck runs, we get a LOT more questions and comments than someone who has an average 12 sec. Camaro. I wish my 11 sec. Camaro got the attention his truck does!!

i agree with bassett- it really is nice to see some cars that have some character to them, and to reply to whoever said something about the van sucking in the first place- they really don't suck, theyre not all that slow in the first place, if there was a race between an L03 and a turbo minivan my money would be on the minivan! are you gonna tell people that modify their RS camaros that they shouldnt? i think its awesome that he made his minivan run 12's thats really an awesome sleeper for one thing, and its completely streetable, and best of all its a fast grocery getter!

There is a guy around where I live that has a Chevy Astro Minivan with a 454. I've never ridden in it and they've never raced it, but he claims at least 12 flat. The same guy has an older S-10 with a TPI motor in it, no times on it either, but he's got huge M/T sportsmans on it and can never get them to hook up.
