Problem with my line lock

I had posted this in the brake section but didnt really get any help.

Just seeing if anyone else has had this happen. I have my line lock hooked up right after the master and I'm not running a prop valve. When I turn it on, the brake pedal stays down even after I let off the brake. I'm guessing its because it can't draw the brake fluid from the front brakes back, so it forces it to be held there. This is keeping the rear brakes applied too and makes a burnout even on street tires much tougher than it should be. Not sure if I could even do one once I get slicks.

Anyone else had this happen? Not really sure what I could even do.

And yes, only the front brakes go through the line lock.

I'm guessing this is his current setup. It's the last pic on his cardomain site.

Re: Problem with my line lock

Yea, thats it. I can take a closer pic later, but its just a single line into the solenoid, then two lines out to each front wheel.

I know its holding the master in the down position because as soon as I flip the switch to off, the brake pedal releases also and comes up.

Would a prop valve help? I'm running an adjustable one on the rear only because I have Wilwood 4 piston calipers out back. I had to turn the pressure down. But there is not one on the front.

Re: Problem with my line lock

i haven't messed with a setup without a prop valve before so i have no experience on the matter. i just know mine works. here's an old pic, but it's the same now as it was then:

btw, you need to move that regulator off the firewall man, that's a big no-no in NHRA/IHRA rules if you follow them at all. some tracks will get strict and tell you that you can't run.

Guess I'll hit up a yard and grab one and see if it helps. Worth a shot anyways. Thanks for the help.

As for the regulator, is it that its not allowed to be mounted on the firewall at all, or is because of the headers right there? Our local track on Friday nights does no inspection at all. Plus they're closing in December. But that does mean that when I do want to run after that, I'm going to have to head to Gainesville, which is a big well known track who probably will check.

fuel stuff cannot be mounted on the firewall at all...seems kinda common sense after you think about it honestly. mine is mounted on the inner fender right now, but i'm going to move it to the front of the engine i think.

I've possibly got a project coming up that will force me to move it, but if not, I'll move it anyways. Getting the car NHRA legal is something I've been wanting to do. When I built it I was more concerned with looks and really didnt plan on racing at all. Now hitting the track is all I really want to do with it.
