Elk River 2.0 was GREAT! Lots of people showed up, Did lots of stuff. Hung out around the camp fire and got drunk. ALl the fun stuff. Then there were cliffs and flying rocks
Bunch of drunks triapsing through the woods with no light. FUN FUN! ALso a few bad things but I'll let those involved in the more Damaging aspects of those things post about them. But I will say that we almost wiped out the most active members in the crew all at once!!!!

Dido to Johnny!! It was a blast, the good out weighed the bad cause the people were GREAT! I was SO pleased with everyones politeness and friendliness. The only gripe I have was the distance........Was SO far for me! (as well as the "bad things" that happened, I was one of the crew members who almost got wiped out!....but I will let Jess or Joe tell the story) I have a story that happened before we even made it to ER........
I met up with our friend John who started this thread and a buddy of his named Tim (who has a really nice looking 85 Z28) in Vancouver on Friday morning. We met at the local Safeway and proceeded to Chevron to fill up. After doing so I pulled up next to Tim at the light as we left. The light turned green and we accelerated, he started going faster and so did I and next thing we knew we were racing. He's got a carbed 350 with a 5 speed against my TPI auto 305. Well as we continued our pavement pounding I took over as I slung shot out of second into third thanks to the help of my torque convertor. All of a sudden I'm looking in my driver side mirror and I see his car slightly pitch left, then hard right......right into the drivers side rear of my car! The world just slowed down it seemed and all of a sudden this wasn't fun anymore!! We pulled over to the side of the rode and got out to check the damage.....My baby is scarred!! It creased my body line right underneath the fuel cover, and flaked off my 17yr old paint. I will get pics of the damage whenever I get ahold of a camera. Anyway, I check his rig and try to find out what happend to see what the hell he was thinking or did wrong or what the story was. His beautiful just painted red Z was busted up on the passenger front, and the hood was peeled up on the corner. As for the story of what happened, he told me his carb is brand new and started chugging and flooding out and stalled his car.........causing him to lose control
It seemed like a not-so-believable story at first as I didn't know the guy....and I am still unsure if that is the truth as he knows it and doesn't know any better or what.....but he is a nice guy and apologized and we still had a fun weekend together.
All in all the weekend was pretty incredible, in good and bad ways. There was another incident that I will let either Joe, Jess or Johnny tell........it was worse than my accident!!....and could've been very fatal to all or some of us!! The people I met this weekend were amazing and I totally enjoyed all their company. Thank you all who came and helped and are now great friends! Bart, Mike and his wife, Rodney and his wife, Joe, Jess, John Dewey and his girlfriend, Johnny and his wife, Lance, Theresa, Tim and Paul, Brandon and his wife, Tony and his 2nd gen,..........all of you guys, THANKS!! It was a weekend to remember! I'm glad you all made it and made it safely both ways!! (and we all made it safely out of the river road!!) See you all again!!
I also wanted to give a formal thanks to our host and one of our fearless leaders Mr. Joe Blount (that's pronounced "blunt"
) He as well as the rest, is a GREAT guy and a lot of fun!! (he was voted "Most Humurous" of his graduated class!!)
Thanks Joe! It was fun my friend!!! :hail:

It was great to see everyone again and meet some of the newer additions for the first time. Roger and his wife Kelly are excellent people and are fit in exceptionally well with the rest of those in attendance, thank you two for making the long drive.
I'm also thinking Roger got a decent public speaking grade in school right now. Anybody else thinking that?
