camaro or integra?

Don't get me wrong, I love my camaro. However I don't love the gas mileage as I'm only 17 and make minimum wage. N top of this I do a lot of driving to the school and gym. I drove my friends 91 integra and it still had pretty good get up and it gets 35 mpg. I'm torn between my baby and making sacrifices to do the things I want. What do you guys think?

I know what your saying, I have a 2.8 way to slow for me. When I had my Iroc it ruined me. I love my car also. But I will have another Iroc But I think i will still keep my 89 RS. Really is sweet! No use in even trying to race. Just be cool and enjoy the cruise.

Stay third gen! Its more cool, unique, and so what if you need to pay a little bit more. When you get on it and have some fun, its worth it. plus acuras suck, they arent cool.... at all

With a maintained FI 2.8 and a manual you should be clicking off low to mid 20's mixed and mid to high 20's on the freeway. I get 27~28mpg doing 70 on the freeway in my 2.8L Z24.

I would suggest figuring out why your car is wasting gas before buying another one. Just my two cents.

How dare you make sense aaron!!! Jeez always putting the pieces together lol in any case you couldnt PAY me to take an integra especially one of these wa own piece of crap ones, ive worked on god knows how many that are one good arc away from an electrical fire. The "jdms" youre getting beat on by arent true jdm btw I can throw a huge missor and ca rbon fiber lip on my car, oh and dont forget the shopping cart eing!

All joking aside aaron is right something is wrong so fix it. In my opinion it is up to you to get the kind of mileage you want either be nice to it or attempt to race it, I say attempt because I wont really even race mine and ive got a 305 theres no real point just fix what yoy have and roll with it

Re: camaro or integra?

I was in the same boat... I had a part time job, going to school. All my money was paying insurance, gas, and parts to keep her going. But I loved everyone moment of my 8mpg in the city!

Now I am stationed in Japan, and I can truly say I really miss my V8's. I have been driving Subaru's here (95 WRX Wagon Turbo 5 speed (sold) and 96 Legacy Wagon TT 5 speed) and I can't wait to get back to my Formula and stang.

Re: camaro or integra?

Keep the camaro, but buy my integra, its a 92 with a b16a1 V-tec. Lowered on SI wheels, needs the timing redone. Ran good when i was playing around in it, gets good gas millage and stomps v8's

But seriously if your interested i can take some pictures of it, I would only ask about 1000-1500, i just did all the body work and painted it.

Tinted windows, JDM raised hood, New plugs.

All you need to do is take it to a garage and have them swap out the tensioner, belt and reset the timing. Yes i know its a interference engine, but i checked compression on all cylinders and they all showed 185-192.
