I might be getting an '89 IROC tomorrow!!!!

We sold our '68 Camaro and we are getting my wife a car. Well there is a sweet '89 IROC 5 speed on this lot where my wife wants to buy a Blazer. Maybe we can work the IROC into the deal for the Blazer with my RS in trade. I'm going down there first thing tomorrow! Wish me luck!!!

Well, it looks very nice. It even has the '85-'87 wheels which I like a lot better than the later ones!

Wow! That is sharp. I wish mine looked that good. I'm just happy to have the manual trans and T-Top with the new Z. It's kind of like starting over.

But of course you'll have to change your name to IROCFreak

Since we've been together we have always had 2 Camaros, but she doesn't want one this time. I think I'll have to trade in the RS.

Well, it was a nice shade of black and it was a 5 speed. Thats it. Nothing else remarkable about it. I'm bring my wife down to look at it, but I think I could hold out for a better one.

Bad interior and multiple door dings were a few of its problems. I didn't get to test drive it, so I don't know how it drove. I just got back from looking a some other cars with my wife and something interesting happend:

My wife and I go out to look at a BMW that she had contacted the dealer about a few days ago. The BMW was at a local shop having some work done, but the salesman says he'll take us out to see it while its being worked on. We pull into the garage, and there is the same black IROC on a lift at the far end of the bay!!! I asked the mechanic if it was from Affordable Cars, and he said' "yes". I asked what it was in for and he said, "its not running right." Kind of a vague answer, but enough to make me see that this thing is probably thrashed! What a coincidence, huh?!?!?! I definitely don't want it now!

BTW Joe, it is a TPI 305.

Hey Joe, if you'd trade in your chicken for a Camaro, you might learn to look under the IROC emblem on the side to look for the TPI decal
