Don't be sad when you find out you are the only one from Idaho here. We've never seen anyone else from your state on our forum Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia are where everyone is from so far. And sometimes we get a drop in from Kali or Alberta. Of course, I'm from Orygun.

Hey dude, didnt you post here before? If not, there there is some other dude on here from Idaho with a RX7.. LOL

RX7s are sweet cars, and that gtech time is impressive! The only thing that I hear about em is well, the motors dont last too long.. heh

Welcome to the board if you arent the same dude, and, umm, welcome back if you are the same guy

yep that was me from a long time back.. but I think I might be spending more time here now.
yeah you get a turbo motor they dont always last long... check the sig but the N/A ones can last forever and I think I might be going back to N/A for a while till I get a lot of work done on the driveline and motor.

I know that there is one other guy from idaho but at this point just trying to figure out where most the guys sit.

and hey craiger I'm only a decent member... you all know I am better then y'all with my trusty 74 maverick with the big might 250 motor in it

Cool, well, welcome back! Very cool avatar too, Wankels are awesome little motors. As far as the import sports cars go the RX7s and 300Zs are a close tie, Supras are cool, but I prefer the RX or a Z myself.

Just toss a Triple Rotor in that bad boy and call it good!

speaking of imports and motor swaps, i saw a late 70's 240Z with a turbocharged 427 in it :-D

It, was crazy fast.... he smoked it on the freeway at 80, and burnt the tires for like 1/2 mile
:-)

hehe
I would love to put a 20b in my car
but that would be lots of hard *** work, new motor mounts, moving the tranny back trying to find space for the turbo and and the other goodies.. prolly would need a haltech and lots of other stuff.. but damn I would love it
though um... I dont know if that would be a good thing either
blew the motor against a 360 modena. and I lost
atleast the guy was not a *****.

I hate just watching my rx7 just sit there now...

you guys think I should put the N/A motor back cause it is going ot be a few months before I put another turbo motor back in due to cost of wanting to get a new motor instead of a used j-spec one

Sorry if it didn't sound like I was welcoming RX, we had been private messaging each other all nite, and this was just kind of a continuation of earlier. Anyway, welcome aboard!

Your fellow spudhead is from Falls City isn't he?

have an uncle who has a 82 z-28 with the 305 HO with a 5spd

what do they run in the 1/4
he is always talking about how good the car is and how he has even beat vettes with it and all this great stuffI looked and what only 140hp and 240tq? that is kinda weak if you ask me
his only mods include a cam though he doesn't know the specs... thats it

82s came with 4 speeds, so if it has a 5 it is transplanted. Even so, back when it was new it may have beaten some of those anemic late 70s early 80s vettes, especially since he had a manual and most vettes have an auto.

might be an 83 then
I know it is one of the first few years of the thirdgen

though this is also the guy who told me had his speedo up so high it broke and he thinks he was doing 180

but come one that little amount of power in car that is that heavy
I am figuring mid to high 16 at the track

high 15s or low 16s would be 'bout right.
