If its the same 96 T/A from before, I think its a V6 model. Could still work for an interior conversion though ....

Tracy told me there is a B4C in the paper right now too. Cant seem to find it though ...

actually that ad says it's an LT1 motor, so no raised ports or LT4 manifold. Although I wonder if the head work makes up for the difference in design. taking a look at that list of parts he bought, he must really be losing out on the sale. I'd love to try that motor... of course i'd probably love to have an extra 4 grand even more.

Was/is it listed wrong? I thought I read "T/A" or "Trans Am" so it should have an LT1, posi, 3.42:1, etc.

There are enough parts on it that I would have grabbed it in a second if I had a legal, reliable truck to tow it, and an extra place to store it, and an extra $500....

Yeah I gotta lug a six-pack over to HI85WH1's parts depot and put the face-in-the-place ... seeing as how I get my jollies just going wandering through the Army salvage yards for the same reason that nature lovers visit national parks, hehe.

Most of us gear-heads have shrines of parts to worship, but Rob's sounds to be exceptional!

Watch out, if you eat the Sizzling Hamburger Steak at Dots you might fall asleep and accomplish nothing for the rest of the day.

No joke huh Rob? I have no space or time for this, but cant pass it up. I owned 1 B4C in the past, beautifull black 92 B4C. I kind of sold it against my will because the buyer was offering so much ($7K!), couldnt turn him down. Always regretted it in the back of my mind, even though it eventually led me to owning the 91 Z28 I have right now. This would be a great chance to get another B4C (if it is a B4C). I'm gonna be checking it out either Thursday or Friday this week. I think its a good chance its a B4C, its a 92 RS w/ a L98.

Look for the RPO on the SPID, and verify the VIN engine digit...

I checked it out, and it is a real B4C. It also has a L98/700R4 and A/C. Looks to be almost an exact copy of the B4C I used to own, just a different color interior (grey vice black). The car definately needs a new paintjob, but everything else seems to be in good condition. Cheap too.

Yeah I really want to get it. I'll know what happens within the next couple of days. If I do get it, I'm gonna be selling a 92 Z28 soon, white hardtop grey interior with around 100K miles on the L98, rebuilt 700R4, and B/W 9 bolt rear w/ PBR's. Anyone interested?

I'm not sure yet, but if its you then its gonna be cheap. I gotta see what happens with this B4C first. I'll definately give you guys first crack at these. I'm also probably going to be selling an '89 RS for cheap, black T-Top w/ either red or gey interior (still gotta put it together) L98 converted to Carb (Holley 750cfm VS and Air-Gap manifold), TH350 tranny w/ lockup, and B/W 9 bolt w/ PBR's, car setup for drag (no front swaybar, lakewood drag shocks/struts, moog springs). Should be able to run low 13's, maybe high 12's with the right cam and a good carb tune.

Some advice Danny... dont let the girl decide what you are going to do with you rlife, unless you truly want to spend the rest of your life with her.

find a gal who shares your interests... my wife even has her own Harley...

Yeah, take from me, it's quite depressing to wind-up years into a marriage and realize the major shared interest is paying the bills, sigh.

Ed, we do that too. I get the"if you can afford it, then fine, buy it" line all the time. She never complains because the meager profits add up and make things happen for us.

I know my wife does'nt complain, both the for the shared interest and the spark she sees in my eye. Hunting parts/cars is a passion like chasing a fox, or shootin' deer to some.
I tell ya though it has taken me 2 years to put this T/A together (with much help from the HAWAII CREW )MAHALO and the only reason it took that long was it has been funded by my allowance. 200 bucks a month does not go far!!!! But the toy has not affected the familiy funds at all!
I will ride this week!!!!!!
