What kind of 2.8 carb or mpfi? I have 2 and looking to upgrade my car both of mine are mpfi.

i need a fuel injected motor.....and will the 3.1 bolt up to the 2.8 trans?....email me or get bak to me on here thanks

 

no the 2.8 tranny will not fit a 3.1 atleast from what i heard. but if you can find a 3.1 and tranny you should go for tit i have heard lots of good stuff about them.

 

but i dont reallly have alot of money rite now so if i could find motor and tranny cheap would be nice but other than that i need a 2.8 thanks ne way

 

how far are you able to travel to get them. the ones in my 86 and the other i pulled from a 87 lt

 

yes, the 2.8s and 3.1s are fully interchangable! they use the same trannies and all...

yea, my block was originally a 2.8 motor from an s-10. the crank is the only thing that's different internally. well, i think that the wrist pin location on the pistons is a little different too. but, externally, the blocks are identical.
