Hey everyone, I'm looking for a replacement 305 to put into my 91 RS. Any of you out there that have one collecting dust from a swap, let me know. My only request is it be in good running condition (long block or complete). Thanks.

Hey fellas, glad to hear the replies. I am on the East Coat, so CA or Michigan is a bit of a drive (although I greatly appreciate the offer Monte). I could pick up one basically anywhere along 81 or 95 from VA to MA.

How much were you asking for the one in Long Island? Mileage?

 

What kind of power is that motor putting out?
Is it in good running condition?

it was the stock one from my 85 monte. stock it was about 185 hp and 235 torque i think. its just been sitting outside under a tarp for a few months. ran fine when pulled but i have no idea how it would be now

DakotaSLT......motor has roughly 50k on rebuild. Done by Jasper engines. can hear it run and even take the TA out front and light up the tires if you want. My neighbors are used to it by now, plus I clear all their driveways with my Bobcat (no charge) when it snows! I'm sure that helps.....asking $300 for the long block. thx dean

What is the transmission in that firebird? Is the car still complete? That might be the easiest solution, have a full motor/tranny/harness setup to simplify the whole procedure. Let me know, thank you.

 

i have a 305 roller block that i just rebuilt it is a short block just seeing if you were interested in, it give me a good prices if you are. It has an new crank rings bearing oil pump and sump.

 

I'm sorry man, but I don't think I'd be willing to give you what you'd want for a 305 short block. I am only looking to spend $100-300 on a decent running long block or complete motor. Anything above that amount of money and it is cheaper for me to upgrade to a 350. Sorry bro.

 

the motor and trans are still in the car you can drive the car the car was hit hard in the left front corner so you know the engine and tranny are good where are you located the car can be fixedif you want to fix it

 

I am in VA currently (college) and live in Boston the rest of the year. Is the car a manual or automatic? How hard was it hit? To the point that it would need to be trailered? Any motor or transmission modifications from stock? Thanks.

 

the car will need a radiator support and the bumper post fixed a radiator its a auto trans you will need to trailer it the car is located in nj area code 07050 its a 305 tbi i was going to convert it to a gta i have a complete gta nose ground effects hatch and bumper the 91 firebird needs a complete nose if you want to fix it or use it for parts call me i'll give you more info on the car
